New clothes, usually. I've shrunk into... and then out of.... most of my old clothes, so I'm into all new stuff now. Massage is always nice, but I live in the middle of nowhere, and the one salon here that used to have a massage therapist, doesn't anymore. Hoping they'll find another one soon, because I totally…

I did that about a year ago(when I first joined MFP and didn't know better). I dropped a few pounds, and quickly. And my hair began falling out. And I had zero energy for anything besides my daily workout. And my skin looked horrible. The dark circles under my eyes (genetic) got a lot worse, and I was breaking out like a…

6 months. And I was eating 1200 cals/day. I brought my calorie goal up, and changed my exercise routine a little, and now I'm losing again, without really trying. I'm eating at maintenance, and lifting heavy, so I should be holding steady or gaining weight, but I'm slowly losing.

More water.

But...but...but... don't you know that carbs and wheat and sugar are POISON?!?!?! OMG, you're totally killing yourself if you eat them!!!!eleventy!! /sarc But seriously, congrats! I'm on the same "diet". The above is what I get so often from people who don't "get it".

It really depends on your recipe. Bread does need some salt, but probably not as much as commercially made bread has. I love my bread machine. My kids and I make pizza every Friday, complete with homemade crust. My health-conscious twelve-year-old likes to add whole wheat flour to the recipe.

Thank you, everyone, for your help! I really appreciate it!

I'm not really losing weight, right now anyway. I'm just trying to figure out what I could possibly get to when/if I do switch back to a calorie deficit. I'm focusing on building muscle, so that the muscle does some of the work of burning the fat.

I used calipers, and the booklet that came with them. I actually measured twice, because I wasn't believing the measurements I was getting. I thought I might be doing it wrong. I'll have my husband help me this evening, and see if we come up with a different number. Forgot to mention I have a "medium frame" according to…

I use Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard. Double Rich Chocolate. I like to mix it with 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup lowfat plain greek yogurt, and a tablespoon of raspberry preserves. So yummy! Oh, and I use a blender, not a shaker cup, so it's always blended smooth.

Check out "refitrev" on youtube. They have awesome zumba videos! I've been using them for almost a year, and they've made a huge difference in how I look and feel. :)

You look great in your profile picture! As another short chick with a goal in the 120s, may I make a suggestion? Focus on building muscle. You are already at a healthy weight. If you're like me, you probably look great to others, but you're not quite happy with what you see in the mirror. Start lifting heavy, and you'll be…

I regularly post progress pics on my Facebook page. I've never had any issues. :)

Yes. Muscle weighs more than fat, so if you're lifting, you'll probably put on a few pounds. This is a good thing. You're not going backwards.

I think this thread is pretty much par for the course... a little bit of serious advice, plenty of sarcasm, a touch of rudeness(okay, more than a touch), lots of dogpiling, and gifs. Yep, looks like the gang's all here! *ducks and runs*

Welcome to MFP! Looks like you'll fit in great here! *ducks and runs*

I have an elliptical, a Bowflex, a few dumbbells and kettlebells, and youtube. :) So far, so good. Lost 35 pounds last year, and maintained. Trying to get the scale moving again; my goal weight is still 25 pounds away. But I'm focusing more on strength training now, so I know my weight will not go down very quickly, if at…

Eat more. If you're not trying to lose weight, you should be eating more than 1200 calories. If all you're wanting is to change your shape without losing weight, eat at or near your maintenance level, and lift heavy weights.

I have a tough enough time getting 1g per pound of LBM. I'm working on it, though.

Good to know. Thanks!

Thank you!

Number 1 looks a little over-done in terms of muscles. Number 2 could use a bit more definition. But if I had to pick one, probably the second one.

Yep! Check out my profile pic, over there < The pic on the left is from last year's Christmas party. The one on the right is from this year's. People are always asking how I did it. It's a simple formula: eat fewer calories than I use up, and exercise regularly. I finally found exercise I enjoy, so that helped, a…
