I sprinkle them on my salad along with other nuts and seeds. Then I spend about 5 minutes with a toothpick cleaning my teeth afterwards :)

No. Your body and mind need fuel. Drink tons of water, eat lots of veggies and protein, get active, get sleep and think positive!

Welcome to all the new folks!!! I haven't forgotten my challenge, I am just bad about logging on weekends. Day 7-10 Sadie's 1 mile daily walk, walnut duty in the yard 30-45 minutes each day except Monday and a good long stretching session each day. Day 11: 10K steps including Sadie's daily mile and 30 minutes of Tae Bo…

Day 5: 10K steps including Sadie's daily mile and lots and lots of stairs. We had a fire drill at work tonight and this involved walking down 6 flights of stairs, only a brave few of us walked back UP those stairs. Also, 30+ minute lifting session (legs) and 45 minutes of yard work. Walnuts, walnuts and MORE walnuts!!!

Day 4: I have completed my 10K steps for the day and this includes Sadie's daily 1 mile walk. I also did 90 minutes of yard work that currently includes harvesting black walnuts. This has me sweating and squatting like crazy so I know it's a great workout! And last but not least, Tae Bo!!! Yes Billy Blanks awesome…

Lol! I gave up bread for lent so on Saturday I bought the giant package of King's Hawaiian Rolls and have been enjoying them daily in moderation. The only bread I have eaten since Fat Tuesday. And Spam would fit on it very nicely :)

yea, I spent 23 years trying to commit suicide by tobacco and it just was working too slowly so now I exercise instead.

It is fine to have or have not ink. It is not fine to give a crap what society thinks. Screw 'em, it's your body!

I just sent you a friend request. Walking is a great way to get started exercising and doesn't cost a thing except your time!

I'm definately in again because walking has become such an important part of the new healthy me. I hiked 5 miles on Labor Day with the husband and the dog across rough terrain. Loved every minute of it! I won't be around mfp much this month due to overtime at work and vacation but I'm always here in spirit. Keep counting…

That love of soda is all in your head. I say this from experience. I have gone for long periods without it and then when I did have one, it just doesn't taste good so I just don't do it anymore. And diet soda and "sugar free" drinks and foods generally just contain fake sweeteners that are known cancer causers. Drink water…

You have the power to forgive yourself and treat yourself better. The person that advised you to set small goals to work toward is right on the money! And reward yourself with something besides food when you reach each milestone. My rewards are things like new music downloads and pedicures. And I don't mean pedicures by…

Increase as much as you feel comfortable increasing. Whenever a set doesn't challenge you anymore, increase the weight or start a harder variation. Swiss ball crunch doesn't challenge me so I started the hands overhead variation with a weight. On the other hand I can't do a decent push up to save my life! Some of the…
