Fresh pineapple and frozen blueberries are fruits that truly taste like a treat to me. And any berries with a little whipped cream is a great dessert. For veggies...roast them, I've never had one vegetable yet that I didn't like. Raw vegetables dipped in salsa and hummus are a nice treat.

That looks so good!!!

I started over the weekend and did it Sat and Sunday. Yesterday when I started the jumping jacks I had a terrible pain kind of below/behind my right rib cage. So I stopped because I didn't want it to get worse. I am also doing the c25k program so I don't want to be too injured to do that as well. This morning I tried…

tried last night, burned to a crisp. Fail! lol Will try again and really monitor.

I have made up something similar to this myself. I love it and surprisingly so did my husband. I use a lot less cheese though and gianelli turkey sausage. Sometimes will add mushrooms too. So good!

Thanks for all the help! I've been trying these tips out and I'm up to 12 pushups on the floor (from knees), and almost to 40 seconds on a plank (elbows on floor). Those modified exercises helped me get to this point and I appreciate the tips!

I think it sounds great! Thanks for posting!

That sounds like a good plan for the push ups. I would never have thought of using the furniture that way. Your advice is appreciated! Thanks!
-
Thanks! I did some of the wall push ups last night and I will try the knee/elbow plank this weekend.

Thanks for that, I will try those.

10 to 20 seconds. I will try that, thanks!

Breakfast: coffee with sf creamer, egg white omelette with canadian bacon/mushrooms/onions Lunch: salad with various veggies (broccoli, snow peas, carrots, celery, etc), a protein mixed in (chicken, tuna, nuts) bolthouse dressing cup of sodium free boullion, fruit, sometimes a sf greek yogurt Dinner: typically protein and…

I'd make a big stir fry up and freeze portions, then make rice and keep in the fridge for the week. Take a scoop each day to add to the stir fry. Or try some chicken sausage (the brand I buy at Wegmans is 90 cal per link) with green beans or zucchini in tomato sauce, you could add some pasta or potatoes. Make your own soup…

I have salad everyday for lunch too! I never get bored because I mix it up. Romaine, purple cabbage, carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, snow peas, snap peas, peppers (red, orange, yellow or green), red onion, scallions, mushrooms, radishes, cucumber, green beans...any combo. For protein, I use one of the following:…

I know how you feel, but PLEASE stick with it!! I have lost 80lbs using mfp. I have had some lulls along the way, very discouraging but you have to keep going...just keep tracking. And also take measurements...I didn't do this but wish I had because even when the scale didn't move, my clothes seemed to get looser.

I have lost 80 pounds in just over a year. In the beginning it did come off quickly, mostly water weight. Plus I had a lot to lose and cutting my calories down so much was a huge change in my diet. I did not exercise for the first couple months either, wanted to get used to the eating part first because if I did both…

For me, I don't think it is the weight loss, but the exercising that really makes a difference. I walk to do the elliptical, put my headphones in and just let my mind relax. Takes the edge off.

looks good and can change it up for variety Thanks for sharing!

Veggies cooked in plain canned tomato sauce (I usually use string beans, cauliflower, broccoli or zucchini) and I add either chicken, fish or chicken sausage (wegmans has a great brand, I think it's Gianelli, 90 calories a link). Low calorie, filling. You can use different spices in the plain sauce to keep it interesting.…

I have lost a little over 75lbs, and want to lose about 35-40 more. My calories are set at 1200 but I typically eat 1300-1400 when I exercise which is pretty much daily at this point. It wasn't always, but I find that exercising has really helped my mood and helps keep my stress in check so that is the main reason I do it…

The bolthouse dressings really are great, they are yogurt based. The only "light" dressing that doesn't have a weird taste, to my family at least, is the Hidden Valley Ranch brand. Oh, and fat free Panera poppy dressing is good, but I know some people don't care for it. I like it in a coleslaw type salad.

Thanks for the responses! So when I hurt it, no pop, but it was a sharp pain. It is pretty much a dull ache except for when I stand and the first the couple steps, I am actually limping, but can walk it off and feel fine. Not swollen at all or tender to the touch. Basically aches around the bottom of my kneecap. Not…

Anyone? Really I need advice! Thanks!

I drink seltzer water, plain and flavored, it is really the carbonation I crave not the soda.

I sometimes cook a piece of fish, chicken or turkey sausage broken up in pieces in a frying pan with pam, then add either zucchini, cauliflower or broccoli, mushrooms or a combo, then add a small can of plain no salt added tomato sauce to it with a little water. I add rosemary, garlic and onion powders, and hot pepper to…

Feb 11, 2013...had to go on blood pressure medication. Down about 65lbs and hope to be off medicine at some point.
-
I hate exercise too. Or at least I did. When I started mfp, I just worked on the calorie part for the first few months. That was in February. When the weather got nice, I tried the c25k and it wasn't great for me and really didn't enjoy it. So then I just walked every night. Two miles, then 3. Then in June I started…

Turkey Hill sugar free vanilla is very good, 70 calories for 1/2 cup. For full fat/regular sugar, dixie cups are usually between 90-100 calories depending on the brand.

I think walking outside is the best exercise for non-exercisers. It is for me. When I started MFP, I didn't excercise at all for the first few months and I lost weight easily just counting calories. But I decided to start walking when the weather was nice and find that it really helps me in ways other than weight loss...it…
