If I have chips, it is the small bags. I only buy 1 piece of cake and bring home. If I buy cinnamon buns (my other favorite) they come in 6, I have 2, give husb 2 and feed the rest to the birds, never keep any around. I came on here 8 years ago feb 11 at 40 lbs heavier. I want to weigh exactly 40 lbs lighter this day. So far so good. 199 lbs to 159 lbs. It feels wonderful.

take in less calories than your body burns. That is it. Go with whatever MFP allows you for your calories. I know easier said than done but this is it.

I fit all foods in every day and if I go over one day, one day wont kill me. It will if I keep on eating over. I dont like having to log but have done it for 7 years so it is worth it. I have a budget with my money spending so this is the same, budgeting my calories.

Usually it takes something like a dr visit to make us get with it. Proud of you, it is not easy but well worth it. You can do it, just discipline yourself and get support on here. I am your height and weight shows so much on us. But the good thing is it will be really noticeable when you lose it when you are this short.

I am 5'3 and I agree, 50 lbs looks like 100 on us. I lost 40 lbs three years ago and people acted like I had lost 100. It really shows on us. You are doing great losing 10 lbs, the rest of it will come off slow I am sure, 2 lbs a week but that is 16 in 2 months so go ahead, you can do it!

my determination, that is why I think I have been successful keeping my weight off. Also been thru much in my life as I am sure ya have, divorce, adult kid problems and I have always been determined to look at the good stuff in my life and not dwell on the bad.

I weigh daily, I know alot of people think you shouldn't. I have had to watch my weight since I was 16 and not until this past year did I start weighing daily. I would weigh once a week or go 3-4 weeks or more. I got tired of 20 lbs showing up so I said I am now weighing every day so I dont get shocked.

With some of my family I have to set boundaries, Got To Go, now when I am in the grocery store I realize when I am around tempting foods, I need to do the same, Got To Go and run!

I remember every Easter and my skirt would not fit, would not go around me. I ate ate all winter. I want that slim feel this Easter, had my weight off 2.5 years.

i have kept my weight off 40 lbs for past 2.5 years, no one comments on it any more but today a lady at the gym said, you are a good size, you dont need to lose weight, made me feel good.

I remind myself food is not pain medication. I had rather be slim and stressed than fat and stressed. Eating will just add 1 more problem. Overeating causes stress, doesnt take it away. Then I go for a run.

someone at the gym said you have lost weight. Had not seen in a long time. Felt good, I have not lost any weight for 2.5 years so no one says anything any more.

yes I tend to do the all or nothing also and this doesnt work. I have been eating right many sweets since Xmas but in moderation so didnt gain weight, maybe this is ok since I am not restricting myself but I feel a little guilty for eating sweets but really no need to.

if it was just one day I would be ok, temptations on tv all month, people bringing food gifts all month. I think it was a hard month. Then all the leftovers. I had to do some serious adjusting. I am halfing anything high calorie, cakes, cinn buns, gravy and muffin. This makes me do small portions. I also use to get irritated at people telling me to drink water but it does work, feels me up especially at night. Those veggie eaters irked me also but I do lose weight when I eat my veggies.

I had to finally get it thru my head overeating is abuse. I dont want any more abusive relationships. Food is such a trick not a treat. You end up depressed, sad. Now I say these donuts are causing me unhappiness. I dont want to abuse myself. Be kind to me with my food choices, love myself.
