the last 10 pounds were hard, took twice as long as it did in the beginning. Also I seen my goal weight one time, I stay about 5-6 lbs heavier, just accepted it, easier to maintain.

did you emotionally eat? I would always distract myself with pain with food. I only lost 40 lbs but had to deal with some emotional issues with my family.

I think I get into the mindset this is not fair I hate to have to watch everything I eat. Well you know what I have to watch everything I eat and will for a lifetime. I now tell myself even wrote it in my phone You cant have it both ways, you will be sorry tomorrow. DO you want to be overweight and not fit in your clothes.

pain, have to let go of adult children and not eat myself todeath over them, so dealing with my emotions also the pain of not fitting in my clothes. The food is so good I just lose my mind. I have been reading me some notes I put in my phone as weird as that sounds to remind me and I read them before I eat or get weak like You can't have it both ways, you want to fit in your clothes, you will be sorry later!

Since hitting maintenance over a year ago I have been putting in some junk food and it still amazes me I can keep my weight down if I have little bits of junk food, how exciting. I dont feel so deprived.

I think the same for me, I dont eat after 5 pm and eat the next day at 8am, I drink water at night and didnt even realize this was intermittent fasting but have had good results, kept 40 lbs off.

I have been doing zoom exercise classes on my laptop, logging my calories, dont want to be fat after all this is over.

I swear I dont think I have a full button. When I plan my food I do fine. Otherwise, I just dont think of the consequences. I have a very dysfunctional family also and got to the point who cares and overate but finally started caring about myself.

I heard about response cards, wrote them in my phone, notes to remind me. Notes saying You wont be able to fit into your clothes, do you want to be overweight? , you will be sorry tomorrow if you eat this. For some reason this has helped, reminds me of the consequences. when I went on vacation I learned to not drink soft drinks, not to get too hungry, take healthy snacks. Last vacation I was about the same weight, maybe up a pound or two.

oh you can do it, stop being negative. I have had 30 lbs off that I lost 2 years ago, if I can do it anyone can. I love food. Read some positive stuff like becks diet solution or pull it up on line. You can do this!

I could not do keto, too restrictive but I do eat 100 carbs or less and watch my calorie intake and it has worked well for me. I agree it does have to be something you can live with.

I was out doing my walk/run thing today since gym is closed. A man in the gas truck said Wow lady you are an inspiration to me, I see you out here running, he said he had gained so much weight! I said I lost 30 lbs 2 years ago and trying to keep it off. He made me feel good!

did you work on emotional stuff? I only lost 40 lbs but kept regaining it, I really had to face some stuff in my life that I didnt want to, very toxic family. Like that saying stuff your face or face your stuff.

It is hard but you can do it. You have to be cautious all the time. No more eating all you want when you want. To me it is the same as losing weight, they say a life style but to me it is like being on a diet all your life but the results are wonderful.

there is a low carb group on this site, very helpful. I dont do keto but I eat 100 carbs or less a day and it really helped me lose my weight.
