I unfortunately don't really have money to go out and buy an HRM. I wish I did, but with college, I've had over $1000 in bills come in in this month... not something that's fun to pay.

I think I did it the last time after working out, so I was much more tense, so I might not have been relaxed. This might sound weird, but here goes... Would it almost be best to measure while completely relaxed and your gut sticking out, or while flexed?

I have always been a fairly normal teenager with activity. I was forced onto Celexa by my doctor and mother when I was in 8th grade. When I started taking it, I weighed around 125lbs. After a years time, in Freshman year, I weighed 165lbs. The next year I weighed around 180, and was switched to another medication due to…

Wow! Thanks for sharing this. It explains my scale going up a lb and not budging since I started my weight lifting routine earlier this week. Hopefully I'll see it budge in the next few weeks! :D

Hi! You never want to go below your BMR. This is the number of calories your body requires every day to just function - this is what you would burn laying in bed all day basically. You burn probably 1000 more calories a day than what your BMR is. Go to: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/ and put in your age, gender,…

I've added everyone up until this point!

Alright. Looks like exercise and logging food on multiple days is the way to go. Obviously I am already exercising, but an extra 10 minutes a day for 5 days wouldn't be too bad to get that special meal in.

Correct, I was just wondering about keeping the deficit at the fixed number it's set at.

Cool. I know there are days I will consume like 2800 calories when my goal is 1800, but that's normally on a day I do a lot of physical activity and most of it is eating back calories, but there still might be a surplus.

Can't say I'm a 'broke college student' yet! This is my sophomore year, and since they are all easy gen ed classes so far, I have just lived at home. Next semester I will be moving on campus though, and plan to get the "All you can eat" plan. I'll eat small meals and just watch what I eat once I move on campus -- which is…

I've added you both!

Figured I'd let you all know that I'm at Missouri State University for another 2 years (for bachelors in Political Science) before I plan to transfer to the University of Missouri for my doctoral studies.

I average anywhere from 7-10 hours of sleep per night (some days I have to stay up and cram in some studying for an exam and might get even less, but after days off of school and weekends average in, I would say I get roughly 8 hours of sleep per night.) Jan 2012-Dec 2012 I lost 24lbs Jan 2013-Current I have lost 11lbs
