I have been here since before January but I have lost 32 pounds since then thanks to MFP and a challenge at work (which I am winning!) I have went from obese to just overweight! I still have a ways to go but the progress and challenge is motivating. :D

I was wondering about that! I have tried the box of cake mix and instead of the other ingredients add a soda or diet soda. It makes the cake more moist but still isn't as good as the real thing.

The Fat free Italian dressing is good. You have to ask for it. It is only 15 calories per packet. They can make any of their sandwiches a salad besides the Chopped salads.

I try to find other things to do while I am eating to slow me down or distract myself. Try chewing slower too.

Tons of great ideas and links! I like using the microwave to kick start a baked potato or baked sweet potato. I just put it in the microwave for a few minutes, then about ten minutes in the oven and it's perfect!

I was stuck also. I adjusted mine to 1300 and I have been doing great since then! Everyone's bodies burns the calories differently though.

I've been here a while.. haven't been too involved except for tracking. Getting involved really does help. I am actually starting to lose again :happy:

I would log some of it because that is definitely not a typical day. I would look at it as something like going shopping because even though you are on your feet most of the time, you aren't walking a steady pace the whole time. Use a pedometer to see how many steps you take but I wouldn't count the steps inching along in…

Same here, over 40, guess you'd call me a geek.. Sci-fi books, movies and shows are my fav entertainment, besides video games... I work on computers for work and hobby. I raised my daughter to be the same.

You could try some of the lower calorie drinks. I like rum and diet coke and they aren't too high calorie.
