  • Corned beef and cabbage with potatoes, onions and carrots all cooked in the crock pot. Yummm, so good! Had two helpings but stayed within my calorie goal, so win-win!
  • Yup, bread is my first choice too, especially Italian or whole grain crusty type breads. And if they are warm? Oh yeah! I try not to have it in the house that much, but when I do it doesn't last past that day! I do fit it into my calories though. This helps me have more control over it.

  • My husband told me to go buy new jeans today. This is funny because I hate shopping and usually he buys all my clothes, but now he doesn't know what size I am!
  • Two mugs when I get up (equal 3.5 cups total) with sugar free creamer, then water the rest of my day. I love my coffee first thing in my day, although it takes me about an hour to drink it and it's not usually before noon when I have it!
  • I find that if I don't leave some calories for the evening I end up drinking a lot of water or tea before I go to bed. Then I get up more during the night! Also, and I know this sounds easier said than done, I just tell myself no because I do not want to go over my calories that day. I can eat again in the morning! It…

  • First, he eats half my sweets so I don't go over my calorie limit each day. Second, he eats whatever I make for dinner and then thanks me for a good meal, even when it's something he's not too crazy about. (Like all the spinach I make that I love!) Third, if he brings home fast food he no longer gets something for me…

  • I am saving them for next summer's yard sale. One lady who came this year was excited to find larger sized clothing and bought everything I had, so I told her to come back next year for more! I may have to tell her about MFP!
  • Before I was on MFP I rarely cooked at home and ordered out a lot. Now I cook almost every day, and the more I cook my own food the worse the fast food tastes to me. When I travel I try to look up nutritional info before I eat out so I can plan my meals. I also try to carry snacks with me and I tend to fall back on Subway…
  • Restaurant meals in general shock me. I always look up the nutritional info before I go out, and it just makes me want to stay home. My food tastes better and has less calories! As far as sweets go, I make room for the calories but not everyday. I just eat a lot more veggies that day to keep me full.
  • My husband's name, my name and the amount of weight I wanted to lose when I first signed on here. Since I didn't actually start MFP until October 7, 2013 my weight loss goal had jumped to 133 pounds. I didn't bother to change the number 80 because after I lose 14 more pounds I will be at that weight loss goal anyway!
