  • full...I just had breakfast.
  • This past week was better, although I'm having a tough time starting to exercise. I don't know why I keep putting it off. I guess I never did it much in my entire life...as a kid I preferred the library, and even now I'd rather read a book than anything else. That's why I need to just do it. Soon I can join the pool again.…
  • Okay, a new month. Now it's time to get back to making goals and achieving them! I had a bad week...I was hungry all the time. I overate most of the week and didn't lose at all. I am thankful that I didn't gain though...must be all the lawn mowing I did! My goals this week are: 1. to stay within my calories 2. exercise…
  • I really need to concentrate on exercise. My goal for the next 5 days (Wed - Sun) is to get on the elliptical and/or recumbent bike for 20 minutes each day. It will be a start for setting up a routine. Once I find my pedometer I'll start counting steps again.
  • Okay, this time I made my goal a little more manageable so I can reach it. Glad to finally start this.
  • @SingRunTing Your daughter is beautiful! After a bad bad weekend (a lot of crackers and pizza!) my goal today is to just get back to normal. This means cooking my food myself and no ordering out, staying close to my calorie goal, and getting my house cleaned up (that'll have to be my exercise for today!). Tomorrow I hope…
  • I'm ready for the next 100 days. I only lost about half of my goal in the first 100 days because I didn't do well in February and March. I'm thankful that I lost, but I hope to reach my goal this time. Daisies are my favorite flowers, but I don't want to stay one forever!

  • I guess I'll have to go find some stairs...my house has a ramp into it and only one floor because my husband is handicapped. I'm sure I'll be able to find some somewhere! LOL
  • The beautiful Finger Lakes area in upstate New York.
  • MFP SW 260.0 CSW 231.4 CGW 210.0 UGW 127.0 This is what I need to get my exercise started again. Today is the first day of walking, 100 days should set it into habit mode. We shall see!
  • Looking forward to starting this challenge, especially the walking one. I need the motivation to walk everyday, whether inside or out. Love the spreadsheet because it shows our weekly progress. Thanks for setting it up!

  • Silence. Mornings are the only time I get quiet time.
  • I love shoveling snow...it forces me to exercise! LOL
  • I've been cheering for the Broncos...but I'm just passing time until baseball starts! Go Yankees!
  • I've found that if I plan ahead by putting the next day's meals in the night before I do better at meeting my calorie goal and my macros. That way I can move things around and add or subtract as needed before I start eating anything. Then you only need to go into your food diary at meal times to see what is next to eat and…
  • Medical technologist here. I don't have as much patient contact as all you nurses, but I do understand the problems with eating when on the off shifts. It messes with your sleep too, which adds to unhealthy lifestyle and overeating. It is always a problem for me when I get home at 2am and am hungry! Only MFP has helped me…
  • Well, hello to you too! Welcome to MFP, a great place to be!
  • These days my daily treat is pecans. (I'm not a big chocolate fan.) When my pecans are gone I will go back to pistachios. Once in a while I will have a frozen snickers bar because I get them free with a fill-up of gasoline.
  • That's the first step, facing reality. It can hurt, it can be sad, it can be darned unfair, but it is a beginning. Some of us have to do more to lose weight, but just accept that and get started. I have been on MFP for a little over a year. The first six months I lost 57 pounds. The last six months I lost motivation and…
  • After losing about 50 pounds I noticed that when I slept on my back my throat wasn't obstructed any more, but I still use my CPAP machine because I like to sleep with my head under the covers. (I work nights and sleep days so it this makes it darker for me.)
  • My day starts when I get up, around noon. It ends around 4am when I go to bed. (I don't get home from work until 2am.) The only time I start my next day's calories before I go to sleep is if I do a double shift. Then I start the next day at 4am, because I always need something to eat to keep me going. Everyone has their…
  • I'm hoping to start it on Monday...we'll see how far I get! I'm sure it will take me more than a week for each step too. You are right though, it is still better than sitting on the couch (or in my recliner - I don't have a couch. LOL) Just keep going, we'll both get there eventually!

  • I make sure I use some of my calories on something sweet - my favorite right now is dark chocolate. It is worth the calories to me even though I only have 1200 calories per day (unless I exercise, but I don't exercise every day). I can do this by planning ahead and making meals at home so I keep the calorie count down. I…
  • Yes I try to do this everyday to help me keep on track. Sometimes I do it the night before, and sometimes while I'm having my morning coffee. It has helped me with meal planning and with meeting my macros.
  • I've been on a binge all day. I'm over 2100 calories and I'm not sure I've stopped eating yet. I may just go to bed to stop it now. I've eaten almost everything in the house. I will just have to start again tomorrow. For me the answer is to not let it start. I didn't plan today's meals or have the right foods in the house…
  • 1. 51 pounds 2. five and one half months 3. 1200 most days. I have had days where I have overeaten but I just get back up and keep on going. 4. Rarely. Most of my exercise is walking at work. I have started some weight lifting but only light weights right now. 5. Not many 50-200 maybe? The only time I had more was when I…
  • There is no cheating in this unless you aren't logging the calories. Since you are logging the ice cream then it isn't cheating. No food is bad, only too much food is bad.
  • That I will need to do this the rest of my life to keep myself on track. That my scale is my best ally in weight loss. That I can have whatever I want as long as I add it into my calorie goal for that day. How to cook! I rarely ever cooked at home before MFP. That I CAN DO THIS!!!
  • Is there an indoor mall or a walmart near you? You can walk around inside there to get away from the heat and it won't cost you anything (as long as you don't stop to buy something!). Some malls have walking groups in the morning before they open the stores too.
  • I eat 4-8 per week. They are good for protein. AND I eat bacon with them! Yum.
