  • Congrats!
  • WAY TO GO!
  • Life does happen, and you have responded with true grace. You are amazing, congratulations on 1000 days!
  • WOW! Really impressive, congratulations.
  • I like focusing on the fitness too - I feel like I see changes in what I can do more readily than change on the scale or in clothes! This weekend I could life my kayak with no trouble and carry it up some rocks, which was different than even earlier this summer. Congrats!
  • Nice work! I can really see the difference.
  • Great work!
  • I think you should be really proud! That is really fantastic. I can't wait until the day that I can do that - right now I keep building up really slowly and still keep ending up with injuries - foot trouble - so I may have to wait until I lose more. Keep it up!
  • I'm not very far in - 10 weeks and 15 pounds - but I feel like I have been gearing up to take this step for the past year. My goal for last year was to make sure I ate all my vegetables including dark leafy greens. I got a nutribullet and made kale spinach blueberry smoothies and succeeded there. But for the losing weight…
  • Two this week - one, I could do something at the gym really well that I couldn't do a few weeks ago. The other made me laugh - I was going to have a rest day yesterday after many days of working out twice/day, but by the evening I was jumping out of my skin so I went mountain biking. I'm eating in my calorie goals but not…
  • Great post - it is easy to give up on a day, but for me thinking about things in a weekly context helps - some days I'm way under, some days over and it all averages out to my daily calorie goal.
  • Great job! I can see lots of progress.
  • I can really see the difference. Way to go and keep it up!
  • Wow! Way to go!
  • Great job keeping going! I love to ride. I just got a heart rate monitor a couple weeks ago and have been pleasantly surprised by how many calories I burn going up hills.
  • I'm obviously not an expert and I think the tips here are great - I'll just add my two cents. One, I try to think of things on a weekly basis. So I try to leave an extra 500 calories out early in the week (m-w) for unexpected things like microbrew beer, cheese plates, ice cream, etc. Two, if someone brings food or if I…
  • These are just fun to read, everyone is doing so well! My NSV is that I did not quit or get discouraged this week even though it seems like nothing is happening. Only 8 weeks in, but was hoping to not hit a slow down quite yet....
  • Wow, so impressive! I really needed the inspiration today as well. I want to climb Mt. Ranier in three years - we got to 13,000 ft the week before our wedding (15 years and 100 lbs ago) but had to turn back because my dad was sick. Then my dad, husband, and brother in law summited the next year but I had to turn back…
  • Really fantastic job and I LOVE that you feel great now because you look fabulous.
  • The thing that got me convinced that I could lose the weight was a yoga journal issue (I think April 2014) on yoga for weight loss. What they said is that it isn't the calories burned doing yoga, but the extra awareness that you bring to eating (as well as the rest of your life). I have found it to be true for me - in the…
  • You look fantastic! Way to go.
  • Great job!
  • Fantastic job. It will be awhile before I get there but I think it is a HUGE deal.
  • Great job! I can see such dramatic changes in your face and really in your arms too! Way to go!
  • Hi all, I'm excited because for my birthday I got a heart rate monitor from my parents, so I can now know how many calories I'm burning. It might not be perfectly accurate but at least it will be precise so that I can learn what works! And it gives me weekly goals, etc. I'm down 14 lbs in 12 weeks. I have so much to lose…

  • That is so great! I have a neighbor who cheers me on like there is no tomorrow. MFP and "salads in a jar" have been game changers for me. I've switched to 90% clean eating and exercise a LOT (about 10 hours/week). I'm down 14 pounds in 7 weeks - good rate. I find that it is hard to tell because I have so much to lose.…
  • My NSV is that I'm still awake... Yesterday I worked out so hard at the gym for an hour and then took a long mountain bike ride at night. Today my C25K was brutal and I'm really sleepy and hungry! But I'm still eating healthily (if a bit more than usual, I figure being so hungry probably means I should eat a bit more) and…
  • That is a great victory! I think getting right back into healthy habits after a day of enjoying meals with friends is the biggest change for me this time around. An ice cream, fancy dinner, is just that - not that plus a lot of extra eating that day and the next and the next....
