i'm on my 5th year.. i'll be finished in December THANKFULLY!!

i couldn't get through it either! i did it for three days in a row and couldn't manage to get through it completely even once :( i wasn't even using weights! i have bad asthma though so those jumping jacks KILL me. I also can't do the modified push ups. i actually started doing wall push ups instead. i haven't tried it…

i have had mixed results. my friends are SUPER supportive after i explain to them that YES, i DO need to lose some weight despite what they think. EVERYONE i tell about MFP and my goal weight look at me like i'm insane and that there's no way i need to lose as much as i say (20 lbs total). i suppose i carry my weight well.…

i agree with you that it would be disrespectful and rude for a vegetarian/vegan to impose their beliefs on someone that didn't agree. i hate nothing more than someone who preaches to me! i suppose i wasn't clear enough on my argument. i was just trying to say that the two examples aren't very similar because the reasoning…

i agree with you that we shouldn't get overly upset when our family/friends tempt us with the foods that they enjoy but we are trying to avoid. i personally don't avoid any foods. doesn't work for me. i eat things i want and stay within my calories. i try to eat healthier, sure, but if i want that chocolate i might as well…

i spent an hour shoveling snow sooo that was my only work out today! :(
-
the two snow days from college was spent catching up on tv shows and watching movies.. i'll walk tomorrow!
-
i can't sleep if i'm hungry! perhaps drink more water and wait til later in the night to have your last snack of the day!

i LOVE chocolate and brownies too and I found the solution. Pumpkin Brownie Muffins!! It's a Hungry Girl (yum yum brownies) recipe: 1 box devil's food cake mix 1 can Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin Mix!! Don't add ANYTHING else. It's going to be super sticky and hard to stir, but trust me! I spray cooking spray on my fingers to…

count me in!! I just got Leslie's Walk at Home 5 mile Walk and I love it! I have a bad ankle so I can't do high impact workouts and this is perfect!! I'm going to shoot for 40 miles this month!
-
i will definitely keep this post in mind!
-
my sugar is always over because of fruit. just don't worry about it!
-
feel free to add me! :) you can never have too many friends!
-
I have this DVD too and I love it!! The first mile is somewhat annoying because I've done it several times and it reviews all the steps. I love that the miles are broken up though and the time goes by SO fast.
-
1443 + 5 = 1448 :) Go us!
-
I would love to join this!! My goal is for 10-15 miles a week so I'm going to go with a goal I can hopefully exceed!! Count me in for 40 miles this month! And I love Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home dvds!

generally any HRM is going to be more accurate than a machine or MFP calculation's because it is taking your actual heart rate into consideration while the machine and MFP are just estimations.

^^^ you make a good point. body frame is a factor. but even considering frame, doesn't 95 lbs at 5'3'' seem WAY too low?? (sorry if that is anyone's goal, just an example) the weight i gained, i gained in my hips and thighs, so when i tell people i want to lose weight, they tell me i'm nuts and i look great. yeah, i look…
-
i agree with both of you! i'm not concerned about my own weight goals, i was just using myself as an example. my question was beyond voicing my concern for those who i believe weight goals are too low and suggesting they ask a doctor for their ideal weight goal, what can i do? and what do i do about others encouraging this…

ahhhh!! i totally agree! i used to be hooked on the Sweet and Sour Chicken Healthy Choice. I seriously ate them for lunch almost every day. I finally looked beyond the low calories and stopped buying them. A few months later my mother had one in the freezer back home and there wasn't much else to eat so I said okay. I…

oh come on guys!!
-
this probably got lost in all the updates.. could someone please give his/her input!? :(
-
do you think the fact that i have 28% body fat contributes at all? i know the HRM doesn't calculate that, but still?
-
i also quit cold turkey. i wasn't quit the addict that you are (because i'm only 22) but it was still a challenge. you just have to tell yourself to stop making excuses. think about how much extra money you would have if you didn't spend it on your nicotine habit!! you definitely have to find the willpower to quit.. just…

i'm a 22 y/o also! i go to western illinois university.. where are you??

i don't set my goals for the calories burned.. instead i try to get in 15 miles a week. i'm a busy college student and that's a reasonable goal for me. everyone burns their calories at a different rate. also, i have found that when i burn 700 calories exercising i have a hard time eating all my calories for the day! you'd…

i'm not a vegetarian.. but i'm seriously considering it. i'm afraid i won't have anything to eat because i'm a super picky eater! i don't really eat that much meat to begin with, but i'm sure a lot of other foods i enjoy (like broccoli soup) has meat products in it. any suggestions? i'm22 at 5'7'' and 146 lbs right now.

i also have allergies and asthma and use zyrtec, a nose spray, and advair!! my heartrate is elevated because of the steroids. when i exercise, my heartrate spikes up before it evens out. i also bought an HRM and i can walk 3 miles (12 minute) and burn around 700 calories. seems like a LOT, but i've heard often that MFP…

for the past week i've been waking up at 530-6am every morning because i have to go to the bathroom too!! it's soooo annoying.

i've taken to working out at home instead of taking the extra time to go all the way the the rec center on campus. it's much easier to fit it in when it's only a few steps away from your desk or couch :)
