You can also follow the "primal" form of paleo, which includes dairy. So (no) not technically 100% paleo, but close enough. I like yourself like dairy and didn't want to fully give up. Some REALLY good websites for primal and paleo are: Mark's Daily Apple & The Paleo Mom. There are lots of tips and recipes. Plus it is…

I'm sorry, but I dont' agree with those of you who say, why are you insulted that you're called fat, if it's true...buck up....etc..etc..etc.. 1st of all...being called fat is a derogatory phrase. If the child had said, "Auntie so and so is overweight", that would have been a true statement, it still may have hurt the OP…

You've worked really hard and you look amazing!!

I had a similar thing happen (about 20 years ago). I was helping my friend start his new business (it was doing tax returns), but it was a "we'll come to your house" kind of business. So I left several flyers on people's cars and I got one callback for doing the return. I went to the guys house, and just as I'm about to…

This is a topic that I too brought up. Unless I'm missing something, there is NO place where you can actually enter instructions. I really don't understand (MFP) the point of making recipes "available" for other mfp'ers if they can't "make" the recipe, but I guess that's just me!! LOL!! ;)

I understand your frustration (have experienced it myself). Some people just are very picky about their friends list, and you have to just accept that. But there ARE other's who feel like you and wont delete someone because they haven't been active for a week or two. I would just keep on keeping on. :)

Hey there....sorry never heard of that. I did try to research it on the internet, but can't find anything with those ingredients & oatmeal?? It kind of sounds like a Paleo type recipe (with the exception of the oatmeal) so maybe try checking out some Paleo sites too? Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

That is a lot of weight to lose without really trying. Although I'm sure some of that is because of the reasons you listed, it still sounds like too much for just what you're doing. I know it sounds scary, but maybe you should make a doctor appt. and just get yourself checked out. Weight loss like that could be from…

I look at this two different ways: If logging it is going to cause you stress and make you feel like you "failed" because you had a one day celebration, then don't log it!! We have enough things against us in our weight loss journey and don't need any additional negative thoughts to get in the way. But... If logging it…

Since you are actually tracking your food on a different place, it's kind of hard to offer advice. But here goes....Try eating a protein with every meal...even snacks, but only a 1/2 portion with snacks. Proteins help to keep you feeling full. Personally I eat 3 main meals and 3 snacks a day, and I eat about every 3 hours,…

Because of your past, I would not have a scale in your house. It has a definite negative effect on you. I would find a friend with a scale where you can go weigh yourself once a week...and ONCE a week ONLY!! Then I would plug that information into MFP, find out what the calories you should be eating are....then follow it.…

I think it's an individual thing. Some people artificial sweeteners will NEVER effect...some people it will. I have developed several problems with ALL artificial sweeteners. So I am slowly giving them all up. I have decided to just have "less" of stuff rather than drinking diet versions. But that's me. In the end…

Remember..."working out" doesn't necessarily have to be going to the gym or doing insanity. Granted you probably would get BETTER and FASTER results going to the gym and/or doing insanity...but...you could just take a walk at lunchtime or breaktime. Swim, bowl, ride a bike...etc...you have to get creative. The only…

I too agree...that I think it is the sodium levels...there are way too many processed foods in your diet, which always tend to have higher sodium. Really start reading labels when you buy foods so that you are aware of sodium levels, and try not to include a lot of processed foods in one day, because although calorie wise…

As far as exercise go, you don't necessarily have to have a trainer to "work out". You could do something fun, like: bike riding, walking, bowling, roller skating, etc...etc...etc...that's all still a form of working out.
