I too would love to network with other HMR participants. I lost 22 pounds during week 1 and 84 pounds by the end of 13 weeks phase 1. I just finished Phase 1 and I am going to to "Ongoing Phase1"... God has been keeping me strong on this program as I would have caved in by now if I was working from my own 'strength'. In…

I drove up there two Saturdays ago (as alternative to Starved Rock) for my weekend hiking. I went there on a whim and found a place called Oakhurst Forest Preserve. Very cool place. But while on the trails I spotted an old rusted out semi tanker. It has been there for long time because trees have grown up around it.

Thank you for the kind words! I am quite shocked at how easy the program is. The classes on lifestyle and managing your environment have been especially beneficial. Let's keep smiling. :D

I lost 22.6 pounds in the first week the HMR program... obviously that was mostly water. My first month was 36 pounds lost. HMR is a doctor supervised program with weekly lifestyle classes at the hospital. I'm in my 11th week of the program and I'm down 78 pounds.

I am hopeful that He is helping free me from my gluttonous and dysfunctional relationship with food, Can I encourage you?

HMR is a doctor supervised program geared towards lifestyle change. I too am interested in permanent life change. I do like the what the scale is saying but my measure of daily success is this: Did I do the right things today? What can I do better tomorrow? I let the scale say whatever the scale wants to say. Keep smiling.…

Also, I am looking for extra inspiration from people who are on this journey, especially those who are letting God lead the way. In any case, keep smiling. :)

Don't focus on the numbers of any scale. Ask yourself: 1 - Did I make the right healthy decisions today? 2 - Did I answer question #1 honestly? The numbers on the scale will do what they do and I for sure do understand how seeing the numbers go down impact my own motivation. But weighing daily will drive you crazy because…

I went on it about a week before I started the HMR diet through my hospital. I lost proceeded to lose 61 pounds in these first 2 months on the diet. However, I have had to taper off because my liver enzymes went high immediately after starting seraquel and after 2 months they have stayed consistently high. The liver…
