I have had a few family functions come up. I have a wedding this Sunday and its my wife's birthday on Monday !!!!! It gets really depressing.

I have an addictive personality... If I get wasted on one day, I can quite easily do it 3-4 days on a trot. Not good.. Body became accustomed to it. Hate to imagine what it was doing to my insides !!!!

Its been 2 weeks I've got back into it so I have lost circa 3 pounds. But its not spot on each week...never has been. I guess its the average you have to look at over the monrth ??? Hi. Yes I agree. These 2 weekends have included some wine and vodka consumption because of family/friend functions. However still tried to be careful on food. ALso to let you know I was drinking way too much daily for a long time so have cut out this from the daily regime !

SO that's nearly 3000 cals if I burn 300-400 cals on exercise. There is no way I'm consuming all that even on non workout days. I've lost about 3ibs in last 2 weeks

Thanks for your reply. I've set to 1ib a week and want to lose 20 ibs this year. Hopefully by end of October as I'm going to Dubai and its my 42nd birthday so want to be in the best shape of my life. It''s slow with me however. Body holds water very easily.

My HR averages between 154-160 when I'm doing cross trainer. According to age, frame build, weight and height I burn approx. 500 calories in 30 mins. Don't know how accurate that is is but even if you were to deduct 15-20% I'd say its in the ball park

There's always a smart ar*e in the room.... Thanks for the dictionary

The word DIET is the word called DIE.....with a T at the end. I hate it when people that say they are dieting ! Not a DIET. Just about making a change a in lifestyle. Healthier choices and the naughty stuff in moderation. Slow and steady...that way it stays off ! Best of luck !

Sue There are days when I don't eat my exercise calories back at all... They get accumulated and used on the social scene or are just kept in the bag..

I agree the HRM is a fab tool and helps you focus when training. I have the POLAR with the rib cage strap and watch. Also measuring the average HR will give you the most accurate calorie loss. Are you familiar with this website ?…

Basically I signed up Monday Morning and after a heavy weekend, I decided, that's it, I'm going to get back to it ! My cal intake should be circa 2500 per day. However on the Monday and Tuesday I ate very light. I regularly workout 4-5 days a week. Elliptical and bodyweight training such as lunges, squats, mountain…
