Try the LOWFOD Map diet. I was also having lots of stomach issues and the doctor said I have IBS. I had almost all of the symptoms of having Celiac disease but not a few key factors so he determined it to be IBS. He said the LOWFOD Map diet has helped people with all sorts of digestive/stomach issues. Basically, you follow…

I'm glad I was able to encourage you! I keep needing to remind myself of what I wrote - almost daily. Keep up the good work and we will get there together!!

Be glad for that 6.4 pounds ;) I've lost a total of 6 pounds since I started tracking my food on here (Feb 14th), although I've lost 9.6 pounds since November and I am going to gym 4-5 times a week. I have been hovering around the same weight for the past 3 WEEKS!!!! It frustrates me when i see other people on here losing…

No, I've only done weight lifting 3 times over the past few weeks.

I agree with this. Sadly it is cheaper to eat unhealthy (especially for kids) and then when you do go to restaurants, the majority of the kids menus only have fries as an option and even the places where you can get fruit for example, they give such a little portion that they are still hungry or want the fries next time. I…

I made the diet soda cupcakes tonight, but I used a can of cherry coke zero (because we already had it) and spice cake. I topped it off with the lite cool whip and it smells like I'm baking for Thanksgiving in here. They turned out excellent - I agree with the other posters, you can't even tell the difference. My kids (3…

Okay so I have been reading this thread and the whole BMR, TDEE thing is new to me. I used the calculators that someone suggested and my BMR is 1569 and my TDEE is 1947, but MFP says I should stick to 1340. I'm confused, what should my calories be for weight loss? I work out 30-45 minutes about 3 or 4 days a week and…

Thank you everyone who offered suggestions. I wasn't saying I was planning on cheating the scale, but if I only weigh in once a week I don't want to think I haven't lost any weight that week or gained some just because of something I ate the night before.

I care because in the first week I lost 2 ounces and I would really like to see the scale go down, but thanks for your advice anyway.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

Great job! You are a great inspiration to me. I started this past Thursday and my SW was 181.4 and I'm only 5'2' also. I expect to lose slowly as well because I have to work around knee pain. I hope I'm you in another year :)

That is a good idea too. Sometimes I will do the rowing machine and it doesn't bother my knee, plus I love the burn in my arms.

Haha, I had to laugh at the blue cheese reference. I detest the smell and taste of blue cheese. I can tolerate a little, little tiny bit of it on the Wendy's salad it comes on. Thanks for all the advice everyone.

I have severe pain in my knee also. It happened from when I was in the Navy and they were never able to figure out the cause of it. I have went to several physical therapy sessions on it and I gained a lot of weight from not exercising. We had a treadmill at home and I used to use an elliptical machine at the gym. This is…

Thanks, I did that today with some soup I ate. Someone entered it in 20 calories off. I took the information right off the can and corrected it.
