I have been having serious performance problems in the Android app as well. I noticed the same thing you did; the performance seemed to begin once they switched to the 'Power by UnderArmour' branding. The nature of the lag seems to clearly indicate poor responsiveness from the server.

I just started Phase 2 this week. Hoo boy it's nuts. I've beein doing hybrids of P90X and Phase 1 of Insanity off & on for over a year, but this is my first time going through the Insanity program normally. It's killer! Good luck and have fun! Motivation is KEY!
