I use the Jay Robb egg white protein. Good stuff! Just had one.

I use them to maintain lean muscle mass while keeping my carbs down. A quick way to reload glycogen level after an intense workout or strength training. They pack a lot of nutrition for very low calorie count.

5'5" and currently at 148.6 going to 135. I've been around this weight for several years, do strength training and so am pretty muscular, also a medium build with a pear shape. Size 10 currently. I'm also 54.

You might actually be overtraining. Try adding a rest day and see if it helps. Also vary your diet -- I'm doing alternating low medium and high carb days right now. Just shake things up a bit and do something different. And really record EVERTHING you eat. The sugar can really add up. Chai Tea Latte? 660 calories. That one…

You're looking great -- great job! And yes, as you build muscle especially in the glutes, the butt gets higher and tighter. All those squats will do that. ;^) It looks better to be tight and lifted than sagging though.

Took a pick in some old pants that I put on while painting today. Pants were a size 14 and now I wear a size 10.

I tend to just work it into whatever I'm doing at home. Waiting for the shower to warm up, do a few pushups or heel lifts. Hanging in the kitchen do some counter pushups or squats or heel lifts. There are free weights by the bed so I can do some "curls for the girls" whenever I want. Do a quick yoga stretch with my puppies…

It takes 25% of the energy in protein to digest it for your body to use. It takes only 5% of the energy from carbs to digest carbs. It takes zero energy to store fat. If you're strength training, you want to replace glycogen in your muscles, then your liver stores some. The rest gets converted to fat. It's much easier for…

My weight was about the same after a year of bar but I sure looked better! I think you do build and shape muscle more than burn fat. I also do strength training and don't burn fat from that either. But after a few months of bar method my trainer asked me why my waist was smaller. So now seriously addressing diet and adding…

It's my goal for this year. Last year I got the pushups down. I can pulldown 110 right now, but I weigh 150. Working on that, too. BTW, I'm 54. ;^)

I was complaining about mine one day and was told by a friend that it was "rather endearing"... our bodies do carry our history!

You're not going to see abs like the guys get unless you are really cut. That layer is typically water and some fat, so you would have to really cut your body fat percentage to get down to where you would see much muscle there. That said, there are some things that help reduce belly fat -- Vitamin D3K2 supplements work for…

I've seen several recommendations just to use profile photos. You can end up weighing MORE because of lean muscle mass, and still look better, so don't go just on weight. Remember most BMI and fat percentage measurements don't account for women doing strength training who end up with more lean muscle mass. I'm about your…
