Great job!! Very inspirational.

You are beautiful, before and after. Congratulations on your weight loss.

Looking good!!! I am not brave enough to post pictures...yet ;)

Here is great starting point. This person linked up some great articles. You can say it's ludicrous, but science is science. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/740931-less-carb-more-fat
-
Why is this ludicrous? You are entitled to your opinion, of course, but I can speak from experience that since I've adjusted my macros to eat less (not NONE AT ALL, but less) carbs, I've lost an inch off my stomach. How is that ludicrous?
-
Research body types (it sounds like you're an endomorph which means you need to eat less carbs and more protein and fat). I don't have a "B" belly, but I have a belly, but it's dwindling now that I know what I should be eating. I was clean eating like crazy, but I was eating too many carbs.
-
This is SOOOOO true. I was 'clean eating' very strictly for about a month and a half, but I was not weighing/measuring anything. I wondered why I wasn't losing because this was a whole new way of eating for me--I SHOULD have been losing weight. I decided to buy a cheap food scale at Walmart and measure out portions..and…

This is fabulous!

You shouldn't care what other people think. You have to have confidence in yourself. Wear it because you feel great in it and are proud of your body. Period. Not because people you've never met told you to or not to.

I closed my diary because I had some people being a little too critical. I will indulge in a sweet treat...I allow for it in my calories. 90-95% of my eating is healthful choices. I do not believe in deprivation. I have my MFP calories set at 1880 a day. My macros are 30 (fat)/30 (carbs)/40 (protein). Here is a typical day…

You look amazing! Very inspirational.

Then, in my very unprofessional opinion, it truly sounds like you're not consuming enough calories. Look up a thread on here called "In Place of a Road Map." It talks about all your numbers and how to figure out calorie intake as well as informs you about your macros. I strongly encourage you to read it and ask the guy…
-
SOOOOO true! Great advice. Same thing happened with me. I was 'eyeballing' portions and finally bought a cheap little food scale at Walmart. My 'eyeballing' was off! lol And I also bought an HRM...SO helpful. Great advice.
-
Others have already said, but I'd investigate your calorie allotment. It seems too low. You can't maintain that. Others will argue, but do your research. You'll see. I'm about 22 lbs heavier than you and my calorie allotment is 1880 a day; I've lost 7 pounds in 5 weeks (now that includes doing Chalean Extreme and cardio).…

Try making smoothies. I put a cup of kale and a cup of spinach in with frozen fruit (along with other ingredients like Greek yogurt, almond milk, and so on....) and you cannot taste the greens.
-
Congratulations!!

I have a Gaiam Oregon which is the watch-like one, and I love it. I've tested it, and it's pretty accurate. I got a great deal on it on Amazon. I love having it...the read-outs on the cardio machines are SO OFF (as is to be expected...). I never realized how far off they are until I started using a HRM.

Not sure what kind of doctor would recommend this. Read this from WebMD http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/the-lemonade-diet-master-cleanse-diet Sounds dangerous.
-
I agree with you 100%. That is my feeling--I want something sustainable, and I don't see myself buying Shakeology for the rest of my life.
-
This is so informative. Thank you.

I have a recipe for low-fat buffalo chicken dip (140 calories for 1/3 of a cup). I love to eat it with celery. So good.
-
I'll be interested to see what people recommend. I have the same issue; I don't recall the brand of mine, but I paid $30+ for it, and the same thing happens: I can weigh myself 3-4 times in the span of 5-10 minutes and get a different reading every time. :( So frustrating.
-
I'm still new to MFP...is it terrible if I go over on protein? If I add in a protein shake or protein into my morning smoothie, I'll be way over what MFP suggested...is this bad/
-
I make a smoothie every morning for breakfast (berries, Greek yogurt, unsweetened almond milk, ground flax seed, cinnamon, and kale)...I guess I could just add some protein powder and it'll be a good substitution (?). I'm sure the Shakeology people will strongly disagree...lol Mom2M_and_O : are you doing P90X or Extreme?

-
Yep! LOL Got a couple in my inbox...
-
Add me if you'd like. I just started, too, and could use all the encouragement and support I can get. xoxoxo
-
I bought a HRM (the Gaiam Oregon) and LOVE IT. It's a hundred dollars, but I found it brand new on Amazon for $35. Definitely worth the investment.

Thank you so much for replying. This gives me hope. I can't afford the Shakeology stuff...and I was thinking that just eating right will be fine in order to see results with her Extreme program. Thanks again <3
