The odd slip up is no big deal, we’re all human. It’s all about what we do afterwards. I knew having a glass of Baileys last night wouldn’t help me this morning but here we are, back on track and keeping on keeping on! What you do today is what matters so well done and keep going!

This is my weekly check in. I’m 14lbs down, would have been 15 but seem t9 have a gained a pound overnight, due to not drinking enough water yesterday. So I’m currently 36lbs above my goal for January 1st. Have to add I’m so glad we don’t have such constant eating fests here! I couldn’t cope with having thanksgiving and…

Happy Monday all! Think I’m ahead of you all being in the UK. Hope everyone had a good weekend. I’ve got the 1lb back on again so focus today is on drinking more water because I know my calorie intake wasn’t high enough to justify that! Hope everyone else is doing well?

Happy Saturday all! Hope everyone has a good weekend. I’m happy to report that the weighing is going well, admittedly I have so much to lose that this is just a drop in the ocean, but I’m 10.4lbs down in a little over two weeks. Most of it is water weight from suddenly starting to drink 3 litres of water a day but it’s…

Unfortunately I think motivation is one of those things you just have to get going yourself. Basically you have to really want to change your lifestyle as mentioned above. Think about why you want to change and every time you’re tempted to go back remember that why. Keep a journal so you can see what triggers you going…

Hi all, Lana yes the woman paid to look after both Caoimhe in the picture above and my young boy who was her cousin, starved a total of 17 horses, but my boy was the one who died. She knew my husband was in hospital and we couldn’t visit so she stopped feeding them. It was the worst thing I’ve ever gone through. Still not…

@heybales I thought I’d explained that I meant they overestimated my burn. That’s why I replied to both of you.

Hey, I’m looking to lose between 155 and 175lbs so I’ll be here a while. I’m logging every day so feel free to add me.
-
I’m back too, lost 80lbs last year then had a breakdown and fell off my wagon. Back on it two weeks tomorrow. Lots to lose so I’ll be here a while!

I wasn’t suggesting your post was wrong, simply sharing my own experience. That’s why I said I don’t know about all the science. Perhaps I should have just said, be aware it may not in some circumstances be accurate. I was speaking about my own personal experience, which leads me to believe they overestimated. I should…

This is Caoimhe (pronounced Keeva, it’s Irish!) with my daughter and Sebastian one of our English Setter puppies.

Hi all, thank you for the lovely comments on my Moose. He’s an 18.1hh pure Irish Draught horse. I bought him last year after losing my youngster. That’s actually what sent me off the rails. My hubby was in hospital really seriously ill to the point we didn’t expect him to make it and the woman paid to feed and care for our…

I don’t know about the science here but I’m a Fitbit user and I know that if I eat all the exercise calories my Fitbit syncs to MFP, I don’t lose weight. In fact I usually go with only ever eating a maximum of 50% of those calories back and not every day or it does upset the scales. So honestly I think they over…

Happy Tuesday all! Tracey that sounds absolutely lovely to someone in the UK who never gets to experience any of those things! I think I need a trip to your side of the pond! Lana 25 minutes in a cold pool is plenty. I shrieked getting in at 28 degrees last night and only managed 20 minutes before I decided I was too tired…

You’ve come to the right place. MFP is full of really useful information. Read the pinned posts too. I started using the blog to log my thoughts and feelings as well as new discoveries each week. I found that when I did fall off my wagon, my blog helped bring me back. Read other people’s blogs too. That was useful for me…

Thank you! I think I’m going to try to check in weekly then. Hopefully that’ll even put any fluctuations!

Late to this but I have a lot to lose too! I’m 44, 5’5 and currently 314.8lbs, down from starting on 9th September at 322lbs. I’d like to get below 180lbs. I’ve been on and off MFP a few times and was doing really well, lost 85lbs last year until losing my horse amongst other things caused me to have a breakdown. I…

Hey! Well done with getting started! I too have a long road ahead of me. I’m trying to lose 155lbs but without the surgery. Happy to have you as a friend on here to cheer on if required? Just send me a request. Good luck with your journey, just keep repeating to yourself ‘I’ve got this, I can do this, I will do this’. It’s…

Hi All, apologies for my lack of posts, it’s been a busy weekend here, they nearly all are now we have the horses at home. My weekend…

Hi All, morning Lana! So we had a meal out last night for my parents wedding anniversary last night and whilst I can admit I didn’t totally stick with it, my choices weren’t as bad as they might have been previously. So I’m calling that a success! No more food related dos to go to for a while now though so I’m safely back…

Wow! You look fantastic! Well done!

Thank you Lana, I’m intending on stopping by as much as time allows! I’m still on track so that’s good. Taking each day as it comes right now. One day at a time so I don’t overload. I refuse to give up and strangely even though I know less than a week of dieting has made no difference to my knees yet, I feel better about…

Hey folks! So glad to see this thread is still here! I was hoping it would be. So for anyone who remembers me from before well I totally crashed and burned off the wagon. It turned out that the horse I lost was starved by the lady I paid to look after him whilst hubby was in hospital and the court case was only heard in…
