:drinker: I post the 'extra' stuff, cleaning, long dog walks, but just because it's a reminder to myself to stay active. I do not count the extras as part of my daily workout; for me, that has to be activities that elevate my heart rate for an extended period of time.

:drinker: If you want to help build muscle as your body rests and repairs, you definitely need sugar and protein. I measure out 1oz of natural almonds and 1oz of raisins into snack-sized ziploc bags. Very portable, not a ton of calories and you get sugar, protein and fiber!

Consider changing what you are eating. Each time you eat, meal or snakc, try to include protein and fiber. Protein fires your metabolism and keeps it going, fiber gives you a full feeling longer. A string cheese and a crunchy apple are a great afternoon snack. Gets me through the 2:30 slump!

It frustrates me each time I hear "It is what it is". I prefer to think it is what we allow it to be. So much of what we simply accept as unchangeable, IS changeable simply by what we do.

Have you consulted a physician? It may not be an issue of muscle control, but displacement of your uterus. It can be 'lifted' to relieve the pressure on your bladder. You can try do kegels to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. It may not be much of an improvement, but hubby will notice the…
