Find an activity you really enjoy, otherwise it will never be sustainable.

There is no magic formula unfortunately. I used to do a lot of sprinting and had cellulite. I have done weights in the past and had cellulite. Lost weight in the past had cellulite. Weighed 98lbs, 5'5" tall at aged 13, I had cellulite. Ironically, I am now 53 years old, weigh 144lbs at just under 5' 8" tall and have no…

It is "Quick tools" next to "add food" under each of your headings.

Fellow runner here, it is an awesome activity, I  it :D Enjoy!

I give up stuff all year round, I'll stick with doing that.

Ahh nice one, parkruns are excellent! I like the way there are new parkruns sprouting up all over the place now too, one in Russia started the other week, who'd have thought it! I have to admit, if hubby and me go away for the weekend, I have a habit of looking to see if there is a parkrun in that area pmsl

If something (such as a disc) is slightly protruding, it will touch the sciatic nerve, hence the pain. A cold compress or freeze spray on the area can relieve it. If I feel my disc starting to "play-up" at any time which it did do a few weeks back, I immediately spray a freeze-spray on it which shrinks it back into place.…

I have three thermal running bottom, three thermal running longsleeved tops, eight crop tops, three running tee-shirts, 10 threee-quarter length running bottoms, three pairs of long running bottoms, seven pairs of compression socks, three pairs of runbning gloves, one beanie hat, three tee-shirts that I have gained from…

The OP is training for a marathon, they would be a fool not to train appropriately for it, this includes so many miles per week running, I can never make out why some people (usually those that do no running nor have ever done any running) think that a person will be able to go out and run a marathon on just 20 miles per…
-
If it clings to extra weight, what is it burning when exercising though? To the OP, it sounds as though you are eating at maintenance, hence why there is no deficit and no deficit, means no weight loss.
-
hmm difficult one that, gallon of gas or a can of motor oil, or perhaps some window washer

I was just thinking how times have changed, if would have been so very rare for a person of 69 to be running regular half marathons fifty or more years ago, actually even forty or thirty years ago if the truth be known, but more and more people are staying so active later and later in life now, it is absolutely excellent.…

I am not being flippant here, but you change your diet that drastically and the toilet is going to love you! Just introduce one piece of fruit at first and build up. If you don't, like I said, the toilet is just gonna love you!

I dunno, but it would drive me nuts too. This is the exact same reason that I had to stop watching women's tennis on the TV, the continual, stupid grunting noises drove me insane and are frankly, unnecessary and used as gamesmanship. He is doing it to make you notice him I reckon haha

I know they are perfectly flat. That does not mean however, that running on one is the same as running outdoors, hence why I quoted my time differences. The treadmill I use, is my own one and is a commercial one and yes, the speed on it is accurate. The reason a person can run faster on a treadmill is because the mill…

I am dubious about all of this report. All I have to go on is my own experience of running on the treadmill -v- running outside. A comparison as an example is, my 10k time outdoors is 56:33, on the treadmill, it is 45:41. My 5k time outdoors is 25:34, on the treadmill it is 21:40. My 10 mile time on the treadmill is 79…

I just start running, that warms me up. The only time (regarding running) that I would warm up, would be if I were doing sprinting work and that warm up would be jogging for a while and then proceeding to the sprinting training. I do not stretch, unless I suddenly were to get cramp, then I would gently stretch the affected…

Six eggs is not a lot actually, eggs are a fantastic food. I eat three per day, which is 21 per week, both the yolk and the white. Unless you have a history of cholesterol problems, nothing wrong with eggs.

No, I am running in the BUPA London 10k on that same day, less miles than a marathon mind haha
-
I know, it is incredible isn't it. Other foods, such as cheese, when weighed correctly -v- measuring cups will blow your mind at the difference in the calories. The foods that are calorie dense are definitely the ones that need weighing rather than using spoons and cups.

53 years young here, I adore running  Years ago, I was involved in track and field and did sprinting, but sprinting nowadays, I find a bit too much for my achilles and legs, so moved on to longer stuff. Have done numerous 5ks, two 10ks, one half marathon with another half in one week's time. I love the HM distance…

I think it is excellent to try out the different parkruns, so far I have managed five - Barking, Southend, Mile End, Hackney Wick and Valentines. Barking is my favourite, but Southend is my local one. Hubby always comes with me and volunteers, I run them as I don't often get the opportunity to run one with my work shifts.…

and no, I was not talking about jogging After 39 years of running and at 53 years old, I am not talking about jogging :)

Apologies, we are on different wavelengths here lol. Somewhere back there in this thread, the subject got onto The Wall, this was a subject I knew a little about, hence my first reply. I actually think we're on the same side here but coming from different angles. What gets me is that some people start saying after 15 to 30…

Yeah just like 99% of the bro science claims on this site eh.
-
No, it is something that has be widely researched by scientists and no I did not dream it, it is quite widely known, I am not quite sure where you have been hiding, under a rock perhaps? They hit the wall because they run out of glycogen. By using gels they are replacing energy, THAT is why they take them. I got this off a…
-
Roughly 20 miles of running can be run before glycogen is used up - this will be when the runner hits the wall, but not all runners hit it, it depends on how the run is performed from setting out. 20 miles of running can take four hours or more in some peoples' case, it all depends on how fast they run of course. This puts…

30 mins or more of cardio will not eat into any muscle mass.
