I'm doing both Les Mills Combat and Les Mills Body Pump and love them both. Both programs have a range of workout lengths and you can "pump up" the music once you know the routine, so that definitely makes them a lot more fun! Combat is kickboxing and also has some HIIT workouts that are shorter but still kick your butt.…

Three things I've done to help with fresh produce getting eaten (I know this isn't quite the topic, but it seems to be a conversation withing the topic) 1. Cut/clean it all the day I purchase it. 2. I've re-arranged my fridge to keep it all on the top 2 shelves where I can SEE it...and my kids see it too, and we now almost…

I agree! Stress is brutal. For me, I know if I can exercise on a regular basis, I can handle stress much better. So then the question is..how do I fit exercise in when life is so chaotic? I looked back at my history, and realized when my steady weight loss happened is when I had a routine for exercise. For me, this meant…

Hi Everyone! I'm Allison. I'm a single mom of 3 amazing children - 15, 9 & 4. I also work full time in corporate finance as a business manager. I'm so so blessed with all that I have in my life - a great job, wonderful kids, a nice home and yard but being a single mom is tough. I have my oldest all the time and my two…

My calories are about 1350 and I'm OK eating my exercise calories back. I only log my "workouts" and not my activity (a quick walk at lunch, my weekly volleyball league, playing with kids etc) so that hopefully I'm still increasing my deficit a bit more. I've struggled with my weight my whole life...up down up down. And…

Would love to be part of a group of such highly motivated (in many ways) great women! I'm 37, work in corporate finance, and a single mom of 3 kids (14, 9 & 4) whom I have the majority of the time. Everyone's lives are busy in different ways, so think it would be a great group to get motivation and creative ideas from!…

Wow! That's incredible work! You look fantastic!

I'm not starting new, but can offer you support! Feel free to add me.

Yes, they do. The day after I got back from my trip to Mexico, my head was back in the game. I got up and ran 5 miles with my sis. Then went to play volleyball later that afternoon and ended up tearing a ligament in my knee (simply landed wrong when I dove). Long story short - took 3 months for it to heal. I did go to a…

Yes, I'm feeling much better than last year! I'm a work in progress. Always will be. I injured my knee this fall, which really affected my workouts, and a back-slid a little bit. But considering my workouts and tracking were spotty for a couple of months, I only gained back a couple of pounds, which tells me I learned a…

Hi! I'm a little older than you, but have very similar goals - with the amount of weight i have to lose, the bikini, the wanting to feel HAPPY. I've been logging fairly consistently for about 10 months, but definitely need another kick start. I've lost about 25 pounds (I have 3 kids, so slow and steady for me). I did do a…

That's fantastic! I can relate to saying "I'm never going running". I'm 37 now, and I've been heavy since I was 5. Running has always been torture. I started C25K last spring, and now I'm up to 5 miles with about a 10-12 minute pace, depending upon the day and terrain. And when I'm walking on my lunch break, I sometimes…

Amazing - you don't even look like the same person! Fabulous work!

Read what you said here: I will go weeks with no lose or even gain. Its as if the weeks where I slip up and have to miss a few workouts are the only time I see significant loss. When I have perfect weeks I almost ALWAYS gain. So use that information. are you restricting your calories too much? what is your net calories…

Whoo hoo! Compliments like that are the BEST! Smiling for you! (PS - Couldn't agree with them more!)

Hi Steph - I can relate to a lot of that! I have 3 kids from 14 to 4, work full time and have been single for 3 years, so understand about trying to find time to workout and make ourselves a priority. Mornings don't work for me either, but I do it now after the kids are in bed. That means starting my workout between…

Love, love, love it! I have over 50 workout videos, several from beachbody, and this is my all time, absolute favorite program. I would say I'm intermediate level of fitness, and I'm sweating and breathing hard at the end. If you do the moves correctly and put your all into it, you'll definitely see results, but you must…

Way to go! Those NSV as just as critical, if not more, than the scale. Wear it proudly!

Congrats! Love your attitude! It's infectious (in a great way)! Sending friend request. :)

Yes to all of the above. I've definitely had my struggles in life, and honestly, although I wouldn't say it makes me "cheery", I close my eyes, take a few deep breaths and think about all the good and great things in my life, the things I am blessed with and grateful for, and it helps put things in perspective.

Hi Tom! I know you've been inundated with lots and lots of great support, suggestions, encouragement and friend requests. That is what this place is all about! I've struggled with my weight my entire life, and have been "dieting" for 25 of my 36 years. No idea how or why, but it finally clicked that this is not an "all or…

One more note about Collage....they have user reviews, which is always very helpful!

I have a slew of them...The Firm, Turbo Jam, Zumba, Combat, Turbofire, Jazzercise, Jillian etc...probably over 50 in all. I've gotten most from Collage Video and Beachbody. Collage Video website is great...you can usually see 1-2 minutes of the DVD, they have "staff favorites", are rated for intensity (beginner,…
