  • I have 30 DS and No More Trouble Zones. Didn't drop much weight but when I look at my before/after pics I saw a huge difference in my stomach, arms, and back. I didn't follow any set routine with the videos. Tended to do NMTZ on the weekends when I had more time since it is basically an hour when you add the warm up/cool…
  • Me too, had never heard of them! To the OP, if there was a magic cure that person would be filthy rich!! Well there's already enough scam diet people making money claiming their pills have the answer to burning stomach fat etc.
  • I put a little ground cinnamon in my protein shakes for the morning, and then at night with my greek yogurt. Just a few "dashes" of the ground, I don't measure it.
  • I'll 3rd this. It has nothing to do with being "embarrassed" by what I eat, it's just that I don't feel a need for feedback or advice on what I eat. I know what works for me and what doesn't. Sometimes I listen to myself, other times I don't. Having a public diary isn't going to change that. And being more of a grazer, if…
  • You can put most of them in the freezer and "try" to forget about them. I did that last year when my aunt sent my cookies right when I was trying to be super strict. Then they're not all sitting in front of you at once. Made the mistake of getting a box this year and they were gone in one day.
  • I'm trying to give it up myself...the regular kind since I don't like diet for many reasons. Heard enough warnings from my dentist on the acids in it, and then the other day I read this article and it's definitely helping me. http://health.yahoo.net/experts/eatthis/3-shocking-soda-facts#.Tye-0Kop55w.email I have tried…
  • I don't have good knees either and was ok doing the video. I don't go as deep in the lunges as she does, but she says to modify if you have to. My left knee is pretty bad so I use a brace on that, for all exercise not just her videos. Just make sure you pay extra attention to form that your knees aren't going over your…
  • I usually have a protein drink for breakfast. I'm a picky eater so there's not a whole lot of protein foods for me, especially while at work. But as someone mentioned before, make sure you check the label first. A good whey protein powder will have about 18-23g of protein per serving and 5 or less grams of carbs and sugar.
  • Everyone has their own style of doing things...but just observing this thread...I think it hit a nerve with the title "It's not a good idea to count calories in vegetables" Not counting them is a personal choice that may work for some people but I don't see the sense in declaring it's a "bad" idea to count them. Well…
  • Sounds about right to me with your avg HR and the amount of time of the activity.
  • if you wear light clothes, say just an oversized tee shirt, you can put down O for the clothes settings. That's not going to affect the reading I tested clothes with my regular scale and it didn't even make a .10 pound difference. Also try to weigh yourself at the same time with the Wii just like a regular scale. And put…
  • I don't consider solely speaking online and never meeting dating...been through a situation like that where we planned to eventually meet up and see what happened but it feel through before that could happen. I would have never considered him a bf though. But about in general meeting people online and honesty...a…
  • I usually weigh myself every morning when I get up...but I only do an "official" weigh in on here once a week.
  • I have a whey protein drink every morning and usually one after I do strength training. I'm not a breakfast person at all so for me it helps because I lose my excuse for not wanting to eat in the morning. I like Optimum Nutrition brand...very little carbs (3g) and 23 grams of protein for a scoop. Does fill me for awhile…
  • Yeah I would try to find a new voice coach!! Maybe it was poor phrasing but I'd be paying close attention and if something like that happens again it's just not cool.
  • I have one on my lower back and one on my hip...both still easy to show...although I tend to forget they are there sometimes lol. But then I don't get sick of seeing them that way.

  • It gave you the "warning" because you went under 1200 calories...it will do that exercise or not, it's just a standard. Even if you were at 1199 it will tell you that. Eating back exercise calories is a whole other story and debate around here lol. Try different things and see what works for you, like maybe eating 50%.…
  • It does have more than twice the protein of regular yogurt, so in that way yes it's better than regular yogurt. For me I add a ton of cinnamon to it and a touch of nutmeg.
  • I have bad knees...the left one mostly...so I got a little brace for it...use it at the gym now too. For me I just don't go too deep into the lunges and things that like that. And always make sure you have good form. Even if you have to go slower than her to make sure you're keeping the knees behind your toes it's worth…
  • Bumping this thread back up. Wanted to say thank you to the OP cause I had never heard of Zevia before and recently got it at the food store (Acme aka Albertsons chain) 5.99 for the 6 pack but worth it to get in my soda fix! (refuse to drink diet soda) I tried the Dr. Zevia, tasted a lot like Dr. Pepper and didn't have to…
  • I keep a huge jar of almonds at work and have those to keep my away from the chips and stuff we have here. They are kind of bland but it does give you that crunch of a chip or pretzel. Then if I want something sweet I keep dark chocolate kisses to get that fix in.
  • I've had problems with my stomach for most of my life as well. Even when I was super skinny everywhere else, always had that tummy hiding underneath. Could be sugar since I was a sugar/carb addict when I was little...but my overall weight was so low and I was a picky eater the doctors told my mom to let me eat whatever I…
  • The difference could be be in the type of wine. Both myself and a friend have issues with darker wines. She gets bad headaches from red, and I get flushed in the face. Some wines have sulfides in them, and which I think is the problem for me.
  • I like No More Trouble Zones, and even though the whole thing is over 40 minutes, you can just select certain circuits if you choose. I did 30DS and now I'm using that and NMTZ combined with just the sets I really liked to create my own workout.
  • Pasta, pizza, and wine. I would live on all 3 if I could.
  • What type of exercise are you doing when it happens? Cause I notice when I do a DVD at home, if I'm doing floor exercises my HR goes down quite a bit and then as soon as I stand up it jumps up about 30 beats.
  • Wow that is harsh to outright do that to you. A lot of people like that don't even realize how selfish they come off. As tough as it is to get burned like that maybe it is for the best you learn that now about her before you get any closer. And if she ever breaks up with her SO and wants to cry about it to you tell her…
  • oh I have been there too many times sadly. It is hard when you have strong ties to the person, and you do have fun with them to cut them out completely. I used to wait on people to "grow out of it" now I just have to accept them for who they are and really not have high expectations as sad as that seems. People that I used…
  • If you're really having a problem getting to 1,200 a day I would suggest not working out until you can change that. Just going back the last week there were a number of days you didn't even hit 1,000 calories...add that to large amounts of exercise and you're body's gonna start reacting negatively.
  • Sounds like you're on a good course. One important thing I've learned since doing this is that sadly you can't "spot reduce" fat loss, aka make your body lose where you want it to lose and when. But if you keep up with everything eventually the inches will start to come off of the areas you do want.
