Look at that TINY waist! You've definitely made progress!!! I have struggled with what I thought were plateaus in weight loss before (based solely on the scale), so this time I made the choice to take pictures each week and it totally helps. I'm glad you found your "before" picture :) Keep up the good work, my dear!

You all are so sweet! And for those of you who are waiting for the same feeling, don't worry... I have MUCH smaller older pants that are my ultimate goal, but, yes, it still feels good! Keep it up, everyone! :) ETA: Sorry for all the exclamation marks... I had A LOT of coffee this morning...

Still waiting for some of the same recognition, but I just keep telling myself that these people see me everyday, so I'll just make sure they REALLY notice when we all come back to teach after summer break is over! :)

Thanks, ALL!!!! ^---haha, made my day! :)

I started my journey shortly after you (April 5), and you've hit my goal!! :) ;) Like you, I have also learned a lot about myself in the last month and a half-ish... and one of them was that I ALSO love water (who knew?)! Keep up the great work. You are an inspiration to me, that's for sure! And good for you for being no…

Haven't read all the posts (yet), so I don't know if this is a repeat, but I had a roommate who would cook fish in the microwave!! Ew, ew, ew... makes my stomach turn just thinking about it!

As an Italian (and a HUMAN), me neither!!!

Umm, maybe... if I saw a face!

I haven't read the previous posts, so forgive me if you've already put yourself out there and I missed it!! ME: 24 (will me 25 in about a month) 5'4 SW: 167 CW: 164 GW:140

Are you ME? Lol, that's my exact plan, although the location of my tattoo, I'm not sure of yet. We can do this! :) Good luck (and congrats in advance).

"...oh and all the fiber (evil grin)." Haha, that made my morning!

They were definitely sweet potatoes (at least that's what the supermarket said)... If you like yams better, I say try it with yams! I have always thought they were the same thing, too...

I bet it'd be just as good, if not better! Let me know how it goes for you and then I might tailor my recipe! :) Good suggestion, definitely.

Seriously, so easy and so good :)

Just this morning I had my daily bagel, with a smear of dijon mustard and a slice of low-fat/low-cal cheese. If you put the cheese on when the bagel's straight out of the oven, it melts, making it a less-guilty grilled cheese :)

I'm 5'4" (well, technically 5' 3 1/2') starting at 167, ultimate goal of hitting 145 to 130 (we'll see how I look/feel). I can't wait to be able to share progress photos! :) Congrats to everyone on this thread!

You look amazing! Such an inspiration, really. Thank you for posting :)

The evil that exists in this world is disgusting. I'm really beginning to lose faith in humanity. Prayers/good vibes to all affected.

Good for you, darlin! And I am totally the same with you when it comes to food.... LOVE veggies (and some fruit) and really don't have a sweet tooth whatsoever, BUT I'm Italian and with that comes carbs (bread, pasta, risotto, etc.) in your blood! Good luck! MFP is amazing (and I've only been here for eight days)!

This Ezekiel bread... can I get it at any old supermarket? Or would it be found somewhere a little more specialized like a Whole Foods?

EXACTLY what happened to me! My fiance and I have a photographer in the family so she took shots of us with the dog and my future in-laws; my mother-in-law to-be blew them up and sent to us. I almost lost it.

Yikes, some people really, really need to think before speaking. I'd love to be your buddy... Just started five days ago, so I'm gonna need some friends/support, too! :)

As many have said, you are an incredible inspiration, especially for someone who is just starting on her own weight loss journey. Thank you so, so much for sharing :)

Thanks, all. This actually makes me feel a lot better. I didn't know that potassium counter-acts sodium. And, yes, drinking more water is a definite lifestyle change for me that I am just now starting.
