  • Semi squishy
  • If calories in = calories out then weight gain = 0. Therefore calories in < calories out = weight loss. MFP figures out how many calories it takes for you to lose weight. If you keep an eye on fat and sugar too even better. Its a proven fact if you burn more calories than you consume you'll lose weight, how much time it…
  • I did some research for us and found more snacky stuff than meals but: nuts, mixed are better less sodium, cheese swiss was better all around, eggs, and most meats. I also searched the boards and found previous entries on low sugar foods.
  • Me too! There's even sugar in milk...yeesh
  • To buy clothes without having to pay extra for plus sizes. To wear a dress and not get asked when I'm due because I look pregnant. Definitely wear shorts without them riding up/legs rubbing. Buy a two piece bathing suit that isn't a tankini.
  • I second that. I actually researched what a healthy weight for someone my height is that went off my bone structure (I believe it was on ehow or ask.com). For someone large boned and 5'6" 150 was about average. Makes sense to me since I was about that my sophomore year in high school (my smallest ever) and I was slim but…
  • You came to the right place for all three! Some seriously awesome people here. I joined in February but really kicked it in gear the past couple weeks. The tracker is reeaally helpful to watch what you eat and if you have any questions about anything someone here is bound to know the answer. I've already read half a dozen…
  • I actually did decent and still went down a couple pounds although I didn't weigh myself before...ignorance is bliss :) sodium was waaay up though and fat wasn't ideal either but I stayed below my calorie goal (yay!) We had chicken cordon bleu in addition to ham so I opted for that. That damn ham gravy got me....
  • Last year (before I found MFP) I would climb my stairs with some good tunes for about 3 minutes, rest was walking same beat around the basement to keep my legs from being noodles but still maintain movement for 1 minute then back to the stairs. Also jumping jacks are good to get your heart rate up. Another thing was I…
  • You are awesome! Given your circumstances and obstacles any lesser person would have given up. Your dad would be proud :)
  • 30 is a good start for me lets get down with our bad selves :)
  • My bf says I could power walk with the best of them lol I had Train's Drive By and Metallica's Sandman with others on my playlist so walking to the beat of those off in my own little world I can cover some distance!
  • I have 3 girls and the bf has a boy. I'm so glad I found this site and the app is soo handy! I'm more than ready to drop some pant sizes and get down with my bad self lol :)
  • Heck yeah! Nothing wrong with wanting to be a milf lol
  • I was so impressed with this site when I found it and the app is great too. I'm just 8 lbs under my heaviest I've ever been, working on getting even lower. My heels and ankles just about kill me by the end of the day so I feel your pain! Hope everything works out for you.
  • My goal is to lose 55 pounds. The way I see it going out to eat doesn't have to be all bad, as long as you pay attention to what you're ordering. Example, mickey d's has a chicken blt (really good btw) just 380 calories. The fries are what kill ya (230 for the SMALL!) and the soda. Gotta fight the temptation :)
  • I like to use the phone app too. Sometimes I go a little bar code scanning crazy....crazy how much info is on here and its all free! Feel free to shoot me a request, I'm working on being more consistent with my logs. I would enjoy your fantastic sense of humor and we can be awkward together :)
  • With me, I've found if I let myself have one "naughty" thing a day I'm less inclined to actually eat it. I think its the "I want what I can't have" thing. Moderation....those butterfinger nesteggs are ok....in moderation. Don't completely deprive yourself of little treats now and then, when I do that I just want them more.
  • Hello! I completely relate to the "not happy but not doing anything about it." I joined this site about a month ago but this last week something just hit me. Like, ok enough is enough its time to start a change. I hope we both can stay motivated to reach our goals!
