It comes down to getting the food under control. I'd recommend purchasing a crock pot for easy one pot meals. Also take a little bit of time on the weekends for food prep. I prep on Monday's but may people prefer Sunday. Cook things that can be used to easily assemble meals during the week. Boil half a dozen eggs for…

MFP isn't designed for "banking" calories. As to the OP's question, if you aren't hungry, I wouldn't eat anything. If you are hungry I would go for either fruit or protein.

Try them in new ways. If you boiled them, try roasting them instead. I also found it to be a huge difference between the taste and texture of fresh over frozen or canned. I do eat frozen veg, but prefer fresh whenever possible.

I used to be that way as well. I would actually get nauseous if I tried to eat too early. I started by simply having a piece of fruit or a handful a nuts when I go up. Then mid-morning I'd have an egg or a protein shake. Since I take a water aerobics at 9am, most days I have a shake before and then eat breakfast (usually…

I have to admit I love vegetables and seriously love salads. I probably eat a salad at least 5 - 6 times a week easily. One thing Ive notice with those who dislike salad is lack of experimenting.. You said you like rocket. (arugula in the US). Have tyou ever tries using that for a salad. A salad I make with rocket is…

There's one I do on exercise tv that's On Demand . I forget what's it's called but I think they also have them on facebook and youtube. it's simply called Standing Abs

I don't see anything wrong with it. I eat how I feel so if I had a craving, a salad for breakfast wouldn't bother me. I like veggies for breakfast anyway, often adding spinach or broccoli to my eggs.

They are high in fat, but if you are vegan they are a protein source. Almonds and walnuts (I think) are high in omega3, but I also occasionally eat pistachios and macadamias. If you are like me, I like a variety of nuts. Look for the roasted without salt varieties to watch sodium levels. I also like grating or chopping…

You have to add some more filling foods to your diet. I typically am not a big meal eater, but when I am working out I am almost always starving. For breakfast try having eggs of some sort. For me a bowl of oatmeal with dried cranberries. Also green leafy vegetables will fill you. I don;t eat frozen meals like lean…

I make mine with unsweetened cacao powder, 1 cup of unsweetened vanilla flavored almond milk and 2 packets of stevia, pretty much the only calories are from the almond milk so it's under 100 cal

I know the feeling. I removed the extender belt in my car over the summer and wanted to jump for joy. CONGRATULATION!:drinker:

I like doing the 10 mins workouts On Demand. They have the for targeted areas and when I'm being good I'll do one in the morning and another in the evening. Short an quick, you are over and done.

I find when I don't work out I don't have much of an appetite. I focus on getting 3 good meals in. Sometimes I hit 1200 and sometimes I hit around 1000. I have a tendency not to eat when I'm out of sorts and then I end up snacking all night. This keep me on track.

Not exactly true. Water doesn't counteract sodium, potassium does. significance pretty much covered the ways to keep your sodium down. That said unless you have problems with high blood pressure, going over your sodium a little may not hurt you. You'll have to find your own balance with what works best for you. I…

Hi all, 48yrs old, menopausal for the past 7 years. Not on any estrogen treatments because I'm a cancer survivor. I had a radical hysterectomy as a result of uterine cancer. I was always overweight but gained nearly 100lbs post surgery. I have a few other health issues as well so it's been a slow and steady pace for me.…

To each his own. My regular housework, even if it's only done weekly I don;t log. The heavy cleaning I log.

I do the workouts on ON Demand tv. You can also find them on exercise tv.com They are free, short workouts. You can do as few or many as you like.

If you are eating real food, not out of a box or can, you do what makes sense for your body and lifestyle. I was a vegetarian before I joined MFP. I limit soy and gluten because of how it effects my body. The rest if common sense. I try to get a decent amount of protein each day, I make sure I am eating whole grains, fresh…

Subway is not my cup of tea so I wouldn't try it. I think you can eat there on occasion and be healthy but overall it's not the best way to eat no matter how much they try to fool us otherwise.

Pretty much anything not in a box or a can. Some days I have a cliff bar or larabr. be careful they are high in sugar Today I had 1/4 cup of pecans Some days I have a piece of fruit or greek yogurt with fruit added. air popped popcorn is also good. some days I make a small salad

It's not just the high sodium in processed foods, it's that your body doesn't know what do do with them so it takes longer for your body to break them down and process. The benefits of having whole grains and fresh fruit/veg is they are quickly passed through your system

I looked back at your diary since Monday. It looks like you are eating too much processed foods and not enough fresh fruit and veg. If you eat eggs, try having that in the morning instead of cereal. It will keep you fuller, longer. I also find eating fresh fruit and vegetables will eliminate the need for fiber one bars.

That's because it's a low dose speed. Ironically enough I have more energy when I exercise at least 4 times a week. I also eat better when I am exercising. Of course it's a personal decision, but I would recommend non artificial ways of controlling my appetite. In the long run it's much healthier for you.

As long as my breathing isn't compromised, yes.

I'm in. Not much of a junk food eater anyway.

I know how it is to live on a budget. I am on a fixed income as well. I think the youtube link in my signature is an example of how to stretch a dollar. Here are a few of my tips and of course this depends on where you live. I live in an urban area so there are loads of markets available. 1. Find a local produce market or…

Not only do calories count, but what you eat counts as well. The meal you have laid out seems a bit carb heavy. light on protein & lacks veg. Also if I am reading it correctly there is no breakfast. Those thing also factor into how much you lose.

Helps you poop. Basically fiber helps keep you regular. Just make sure you are getting enough water. I don;t think it's bad to go over your finer intake since your body will void what it does't use.

I try to focus on simple, healthy eating. I try to eat breakfast within 90 mins of waking. If I am going to the gym, I may make a protein shake. Mine is a little greek yogurt, a bit of flax powder and a tbsp of almond butter. You can easily swap that for plain yogurt, flax seed powder, regular milk and peanut butter. I…

I completely agree. for me it's about nutrition. It's why even though they are high in ft I eat avocados nearly every day. They are a a good fat so I'm not afraid of the calories it contains.
