Food changes: I eat as clean as possible. I eat a salad nearly every day. I make my own dressings. My main source of exercise is water aerobics 4 or 5 x's a week and walking at a slow pace. Side info: I eat out a lot. I have a very active social life and we often meet for breakfast, or dinner. However I don't do fast…

if you are peeing then you are hydrated. Unless you have a bladder problem your body wouldn't release fluid it needs. I would look at how much sodium is in your diet. Contrary to popular opinion drinking lots of water doesn't counteract sodium, potassium does. So if you are high on sodium, I would try adding potassium rich…

Everyone has a different approach to things. I don't do free days or cheat days. I have a fairly busy life and eat out frequently. I simply plan those meals into my regular calories and try not to go over. That works better for me.

I don't do cheat days, cheat meals or anything like that. If I am going out and want to have dessert, I plan for it. I budget my calories so that I can have it without going over. Cheat day or treat day to me sounds like something forbidden or special in a way that I no longer want food to be. This is true whether it's…

The best way not to beat yourself up is to plan for it. If I know I'm going to a party like that, I eat extra light during the day so that I can safely enjoy a small slice of cake and scoop of ice cream. It's figuring out how to plan and incorporate these types of events into your life that will make this a lifestyle…

Hystersisters was very helpful for me as well. haven't been on that site in years, but at the time it was a great resource.

Shortly after I turned 40 I developed uterine cancer and had to have a radical hysterectomy, so yes, I know what it's like to be thrust suddenly into menopause. Fortunately I had a good surgeon and he was able to do my surgery laproscopically which meant I was up and walking around fairly quickly. The hard part is the hot…

2nd ezekiel bread. Just keep in mind it's nothing like regular bread. I like the cinnamon raisin and the tortillas. I haven't tried just regular bread, but I've read mixed reviews. I will add I bought a waffle maker on sale and make my own waffles with real fruit instead of whatever that fake stuff is that they put in…

Water toxicity is extremely hard for an adult to get and if you are eating a balanced diet your electrolytes should be fine.

Typically I eat 3 meals and 2 snacks. I have a snack in the morning before I workout and then breakfast after I work out. I usually have a fairly heavy breakfast because I am my hungriest after my workout and I prefer not getting stuck with a load of calories to eat in the the evening. Lunch is usually a salad of some sort…

I can't reassure you that no one is making fun of you, but I can suggest that you not care. You are doing this for you, don't let worrying about what others think hold you back.

This i try to stay away from the fake meats as much as possible. I indulge on occasion, but keep in mind they are just as processed as any other process food. Instead of replacing chicken I try to think of it as what non meat protein can I have and still be satisfied.

Sadly that's not true. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/dr-dean-ornish/all-calories-are-not-the_b_172459.html http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/293097-not-all-calories-are-equal-says-harvard That said, my sister is the same way. Try eliminating the bad foods you eat one by one instead of all at once. The less processed…

One thing I've learned not only about posting here, but on forums in general. If you are going to post you need to have a thick skin. Some people post to be supportive, some people post to be supportive but it comes out rude & others are just plain rude. Simply prepare yourself for all 3 whenever you post.

Why not just let the site pick it for you? I know some people who are following various special diets like paleo manually adjust, but I just go by the site's numbers and it works okay for me. Why make it harder than it needs to be?

Not true and ironically enough this was just posted on the forums here. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/293097-not-all-calories-are-equal-says-harvard

Cleaner is always better. You don't always need organic. A good rule of thumb is if the food needs to be peeled, it may not need to be organic. http://greenopolis.com/myopolis/blogs/aresende/what-you-should-shouldnt-buy-organic

I agree with what NiciS & mdagenb said. Personally I only count water as water, and I artificial stuff like that tends to make me sick, but if 1 out of 7 glasses has half a packet of crystal lite it's not as big of a deal. Just count the crystal lite in your diary. My other thought is if you are only drinking 1 a day you…

I'd join because I typically only weigh in monthly, but I have to weigh in this week for the challenge I am currently in. Still I agree with what you are saying, I can usually tell by my diary if I am losing or not. My focus has always been health not pounds. My main goals are to eat well and exercise.

I keep mine a week I boil about a half a dozen on Sunday and use them throughout the week. I either put themin the carton or leave them in a bowl.

Yes you want protein with your breakfast, eggs are good if you eat them. In fact studies have shown that people who eat eggs for breakfast are more likely to lose more weight. http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2008-08/epr-awe080408.php

I think that's fine. I try to have most of my calories between breakfast and lunch as well. Perhaps not as large as yours, but my reasons aren't to have more food, I just don't want to get stuck as the end of the day with a munch of calories to eat and i don;t mind having a light dinner.

The good thing is you'll be running around all day so you'll likely burn off most of what you eat. Eat a good breakfast before you leave. Pack snacks(fruit/granola or protein bars/nuts) and water, then choose carefully; one slice of cheese pizza is not too bad. If you go for ice cream get the child's size or a single scoop…

What you eat makes as much of a different as how much you eat. Your diary is private so I can see what you are eating. Some general tips would be do not skip breakfast, cut back or cut out processed foods, refined white flours & sugars and fast foods. Make sure you are getting plenty of protein and also green leafy veg.and…

For me it's one of the few blog post I made here about the difference in my body. I cannot go back to being barely able to walk, feet swollen and face breaking out because of eating junk food. It keeps me motivated and on track and even if I stray, it brings me back. I know I have to stay the course or get progressively…

I have osteo-arthritis in my left knee. A torn ACL in my right knee. My feet and ankles used to swell really badly, but changed when I stopped eating processed foods. I actually had to take a week off from the gym on doctor's orders because it was hurting so bad. I also rarely a able to drink 8 or more glasses of water…

This and make sure you have some green leafy veg in there as well. They'll keep you regular and help you feel fuller.

It depends upon your weight because a larger body will have to exert more energy to move. I burn between 500 - 600 calories in an hour of water aerobics.

biochem vegan protein powder main ingredients are Pea Protein, Organic Hemp Seed Protein, Cranberry Protein

I started at an hour twice a week water aerobics and walking as much as I could, often not long (30mins). As soon as I felt comfortable, I added a day. I now aim for 5 days a week, but will go daily if possible.
