If your scales aren't broken and you've lost that amount of weight through eating more and working out less, market your formula, you'll make a fortune!!!

Ew, so glad I live in England where there are no stinky skunks. The worst my dog smells of is fox or badger poo which she delights in rolling in. And that humongous smell can be washed off with ordinary doggy shampoo.

I would love to be your friend, I live near Manchester and am intending to lose a similar amount of weight.

Welcome to the forums:flowerforyou: You will certainly achieve your goal by your wedding day, you sound very motivated!

Hi there and welcome to MFP. My starting weight was 200lbs and my goal weight is 150lbs - we can do it. Using this site and all the tools it offers is an incredible help, and the message boards are fantastic motivation. Grab some friends - feel free to add me - and enjoy the journey to the new you!:flowerforyou:

I always have a box of carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, celery chunks, cherry tomatoes and chopped mushrooms - hardly any calories and keeps me from unhealthy snacking through the day.

I would say go for it as well - you may not get picked, and if you do, that's when you'll have to make the big decision. It's 3 months, that's 12 weeks - it could transform your life. Regarding the kids/pets, there are ways around that. You've done fantastically well so far, this could be the very thing you need to…

I find having friends make s the whole journey much more fun - and when times are tough, there's always someone to cheer you up and keep you on track. My MFP pals are the best support group ever. And if anyone wants to add me, they are very welcome.:flowerforyou:

How do I upload photos? I'm not making excuses honest:bigsmile: I genuinely want a photo of my current chubby state so I have proof of how well I have done, come July:happy:

I've added you! Welcome to MFP:flowerforyou: The journey is so much easier with friends to support you along the way.

I've lost 18lbs since the beginning of January with no formal exercise - I have just increased the amount of walking I do, using the stairs and not the lift, walking to the next bus stop along and getting off one stop earlier, using the ladies room 2 flights up from my office - I work 12 hour shifts and just don't have…

Those are excellent 'before' pictures, I will upload mine over the weekend. Our 'after' pictures will be amazing. This is going to be good.

I work in an office too - and I've started taking in a tupperware box of carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, cherry tomatoes and chopped celery. Even if I eat the entire box it's still less than 100 calories. And I have a 2 litre bottle of sparkling mineral water on my desk, and a packet of low calorie packet cup soups in my…

Okay, I'm ready to go - I shall upload a photo over the weekend so everyone can point and laugh:embarassed: Actually I'm quite glad I've got unflattering photos, it will make the "before" and "after" that much more amazing. Oh and talking of bikinis, I AM going to be slender enough to wear one, I will make sure of that. No…

I'm glad this was posted, thank you. I take the stairs down (5 flights) about 4 - 5 times a day for a non-smoke break - but not up as the door is key-coded. And I go to the ladies room 2 flights up each time - and that's a lot, on the amount of water I'm chugging down. I get the bus home and get off a stop early so that…

I agree with what everyone has already said - 5lbs in 2 weeks is brilliant. Just go and have a look at 5lb of butter to get some idea of how much you have lost. Stick with MFP and you can transform yourself, so many people already have, and even more are well on there way to getting there. 2011 is going to be a great…

I've been recommended to try calorie cycling - there's a thread on here already, with lots of useful informations and links. It seems a much better solution than pills of any kind.

Unless you are underweight, then these people are worrying unnecessarily. They may be jealous, and uncomfortable with your changes. Perhaps they feel guilty. You're losing weight and getting in shape while they're not. Tempting you to "fall off the fitness wagon" means you’re "normal" again, and they can feel good about…

I think I shall nip out to the shop and get a can of soup AND a yoghurt - if it doesn't come to more than £1.14. My colleague has kindly offered me some chocolate biscuits and a slice of fruit cake though:sad:
-
Okay I've changed my signature ready for the off - and I shall weigh in on Sunday along with everyone else. Here's to our new bikini bodies!:drinker:

The saddest thing of all is the comments on the forum there, from members who regard their size as something they have absolutely no control over, and who are the recipients of cruel comments from passers-by wherever they go. For many people, the kind of negativity they experience is the trigger they need to start getting…

Welcome to MFP - whatever method you choose, you'll find support on here. I'm doing the tried and trusted "eat less, move more" method, logging everything I eat and every exercise I do, on here, and it's working so far:smile: Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like to.:flowerforyou:

My daughter steals my low calorie yoghurts, my Special K cereal bars, eats my OatsoSimple, drinks my sparking water - and she's 16 and a tiny size 8 (UK size). Then she'll go out with her friends to McDonald's leaving me with the last shrivelled apple in the fruit bowl.:grumble:
-
I would love to join you - I have a holiday booked to Lanzarote leaving on July 20th:drinker: My current weight is 200lbs and I'd dearly love to be 30 - 40lbs lighter by then.
-
Wow, thanks everyone!!! I knew you wouldn't let me down.:flowerforyou:

Hi Amelie, welcome to MFP, feel free to add me as a friend. I'm just beginning to get back into shape - my ticker shows no weight loss yet because I am determined to weigh in monthly not weekly. I don't want to get disheartened.
-
Anyone can add me, I'll do my best to be supportive and I log on every day at work - it keeps me on the straight and narrow and out of the staffroom where DANGER lurks!
