  • I would have to say that if you are expecting it to taste like a tub of Toll House dough, no. It does have a bit of a protein powder taste, but considering its a lot healthier, the trade off is worth it, IMO. :) [/quote] yes youre totally right i'm gonna just have to get over the odd texture, i think that is my problem i…
  • sorry to post a question but is the cookie dough flavour really ok? i have tried numerous protein bars/flapjacks and i just can't deal with the taste/texture but i do feel that i need some kind of protein after my workouts and quest is the only one ive come across as having amazing reviews so is the cookie dough one pretty…
  • in the short term it would be ok, over and under consumptions on the odd days will not do much damage but if you were to continue to eat only 900 or so kcal a day then you'll find it's a lot harder to lose weight as your body will hold onto the fat it has and you will start to lose muscle as your body breaks it down for…
  • hey, personally i would say yes that you should eat back some of the calories, to some extent. ive also joined the lively thread on the other topic! as the person above said "if you eat them back you'll still lose weight" this is completely true as long as you're still in deficit. but having a too larger deficit will send…
  • firstly do they do, let's say, a taster hour or a free/lower cost session to let you experience how you will be trained as all personal trainers have their own style. and i guess it's down to personal preference, if you are motivated and can push yourself hard on your own you're probably fine doing what your doing and…
  • unsure whether it's gone off topic now but in answer to your question, and in agreement with the first few answers, yes you're already in deficit and when you burn calories you're increasing the deficit.. too much and your body can enter starvation mode and will essentially hold onto your fat making it harder to budge it.…
  • hey! im active user and my diary is open, 21 from the midlands :)
  • since january ive lost 11lbs but its only been the past 6 weeks where i have sorted out a diet and fitness program so i still have a way to go, for breakfast you can't go wrong with porridge with banana and honey plenty of energy and should keep you full until your next meal :)
  • playing candy crush... :D
  • wow i have a lot to be getting on with! thanks for all your recommendations i'm sure out of all of these i'll find a good few that i love :)
  • i agree with this! i mean in literal sense we are all "addicted" to food because we need to eat it everyday to survive, but the issue lies with how much food you eat. people have problems with eating too much food whether the reason being is emotional/mental/medical etc so i think there is a problem with eating too much…
  • thanks guys! im off to the gym tomorrow to sort out a more intense plan that will work all my body, ill get the tape measure out and do it biweekly, thanks for all your advice, made me feel better :)
  • hey guys thank you all for your positive replies, ive opened up my diary i forgot it was on private, i appreciate the advice i wasnt looking at the pics objectively. i am going to step up my exercise, even finding a gym programme would help! i will look into weight training, ive seen a few transformations from people who…
  • hey thank you guys so much for the motivation! I guess i can get a bit too obsessed over the scales, which you are right in terms of how I look and feel it shouldnt matter at all! I am going to stop weighing myself for a while, pump up the exercise a bit and go from there! :)
  • this is also a good read http://nutritiondata.self.com/topics/glycemic-index relates carbs to glucose levels in the blood and why complex carbs can be seen as "better" (even though there are many exceptions!)
  • hey good luck! mind if i add you? we can motivate each other, im also interested to see what meals you track hopefully i'll get inspired, i'm not vegan but i can imagine the recipes are healthy!
  • keep up the good work! yes you can definitely tell you are toning up nicely especially around the middle, have you taken measurements such as hips, waist etc? i find that's the best way for me to tell whether i am on the right track :)
  • i love all these suggestions, i definitely will be experimenting with different flavours, i made some today using banana skimmed milk and honey and it was lovely, hit my sugar craving right on! Adding oats and/or protein powder seems like a great idea i'm going to try that too that may make them more filling!
  • i have to eat 1200 to only lose a pound a week! it does seem low but i guess it is working, working out can always allow you to eat more calories though as long as you stay in deficit!
  • good point if i track exactly what i put into the smoothie then I should know exactly how much sugar etc ill be having so can fit it into my diet :) i should try them after a workout! i always feel so tired after working out they might be a great pick me up
  • i've added you! i need friends on here to keep me going, i'm on my last half a stone but it's very hard my body has always been "used" to this weight and so i'm struggling to keep the motivation up!
  • my goal was 18 pounds and now i only have 8 to go! if you're struggling with motivation I find making the goals smaller or giving yourself a time frame keeps you going for example "i want to lose x amount by this time" that way you are challenging yourself as well!
  • yep i am, i need some motivation too!
  • hey thanks for your comment, sorry it has taken me a while to reply! Yes i dont have any willpower either but leeds festival will be 3 weeks into my diet and so i dont want to set myself back! The idea of peanut butter is brilliant especially measuring it out! I will try that. Im going to be experimenting with recipes next…
