  • hey there i can understand your frustration but I agree with other users, dig out a tape measure and see what inches you have lost! also if you are lifting and exercising you are going to build up muscle which weighs more than fat! so you are going to look thinner, healthier and more toned but not necessarily "lose weight"…
  • a 10lb weight loss is achievable just not in your time scale! It would be useful to know why you want this but I hope you go with the advice of many other users on here and do it gradually and healthy! Any diets that claim to do this please stay away from I cant imagine how it would work not to mention the potential…
  • 4x a week gym for 90 minutes, mixture of cardio and weigh training 1x a week personal training session for 60 mins - boxing, circuits, sprints, the other 2 days light walks
  • mines open and i log daily! i'm 5ft 0 SW: 136 CW: 125 GW: 119 struggling to budge these last few pounds so feel free to add!
  • it's one of my favourite shows! followed from the first episode, sheldon and amy are just my favourite pair!
  • great work!!! loved your response too nothing better than an awesome meal after a workout! it does taste better :P
  • yes i eat mine back because ive used MFP to tell me the calories to lose wight (it doesnt take into account my exercise) there is no way my body could run on 800 or less kcal a day, as it would if i didnt eat back what i burnt!
  • ps i dont love you
  • chips, curly fries, french fries, nutella, and any kind of jelly sweet: teddy bears, cola bottles, you name it man i want some now....
  • hey there! feel free to add me, my goal weight is 119lbs so similar to yours, whilst i have no experienced being pregnant, i can support with the weight loss! and yes i am pear shape it is killing me to budge the weight off my hips and bottom but we will get there :)
  • my favourite was red dead redemption, completed it to 100%! i vary between my ds, xbox and pc, skyrim and halo are my favourites, pokemon (any) and zelda for my ds and i absolutely love the sims! anyone else excited for the sims4?
  • everyone is obviously different but mfp gives the standard 1200 calorie a day, this is basically the amount you eat a day if you are inactive and this puts you in a safe deficit which will equal weight loss you do some exercise and that deficit gets bigger, and if it gets too big you will start to feel unwell and weight…
  • ^this, and if you were at a deficit you would be losing
  • Hey there! as you have stated yourself youre aware that it is a gradual process, which is great because it means youve got the attitude of youre in this for the long run! i can understand your frustration but you should be proud of wanting to change your body and become more healthier, by the sounds of it you are doing…
  • may i ask what your goal is? either be able to lift strong, general weight loss, muscle building, etc? edit* by other posts i feel i have totally missed out on something!!!!
  • hey this is just some advice ive just took a look at your diary from the past week and with your logging it is very inconsistent with hitting your calorie goals (this is just from what i can see, there may be more to the story) some days you are below and some are way over. they key to weight loss is the deficit so there…
  • yes you dont want to be dipping below 1200, your body needs fuel to survive you dont want to starve your body as that can make losing fat difficult to budge and weight you do lose can come back with a vengeance once resuming a more healthy calorie intake. What others are saying is great advice, do more exercise to create…
  • have you tried measuring inches as a weigh to record a loss, you say that you felt that you started to look better than before? that's great, changing your lifestyle should make you feel better not be judged by a number on a scale. also remember if you build up any muscle that can weigh more than fat but you would still…
  • hey can i ask did you lose a lot of weight on the vlcd? i could be wrong but if you lost weight on the diet but then went back up to 1200 calories because your body was in starvation mode the weight + more has come back on. That tends to happen a lot with restrictive diets. But dont lose heart i can understand how upset…
  • yes a calorie is a calorie so it doesnt matter what form it is in, however a 300kcal cheeseburger will have got it's calorie content from more fat (1g fat = 9kcal) yet a health shake could have got it's calorie content from more protein for example (1g protein = 4kcal) so the calories could be the same but the macros could…
  • This happened to me last year i got to 8 and a half stone (my goal weight) through mfp, then i lost track and gained over 1st in half a year and it wasnt until i compared photographs from the two time periods that i thought i needed to get back on track! one thing that helped me get my butt into gear was speaking to a…
  • yes! i have felt stuck in the past. one way that always gets me back on track is to stand in the mirror in my underwear or a bikini and look at myself. I am not happy with my body at the minute so it motivates me to change it! but yes going back to basics is a great idea, maybe research some different healthy recipes, find…
  • hey there!! i just graduated in nutrition so i would say we would share similar background knowledge if your a dietetic technician, feel free to add me! ive been on here ages but only just got into a proper lifestyle change good luck :)
  • i totally believe in doing what makes you happy and comfortable i just picked up on when you said giving keto "a try" when you want to lose weight and keep it off, it should be a change for life so the best way for me is to log your calories and keep in deficit, some carbs are totally fine and if youre sticking to the…
  • this is an amazing success!! im glad youve shared it gives me motivation, good luck with the rest of your journey? :)
  • it will take time to find the right balance so dont get discouraged yet. Initial weight loss can be due to water weight and fluctuations are totally expected, make sure you weigh yourself at the same time (i find its more consistent when i weigh in the morning as soon as i get up). Also remember muscle weighs more than fat…
  • I get these all the time! yes sugar in large quantities can be bad and there are way healthier alternatives to foods containing sugar but when you get the cravings it's very hard to shake them so here's some things that i do: 1. eat honey, super sweet and if you have it for breakfast on porridge or on toast it can satisfy…
  • i agree with the others, try and get into a routine of hitting your calories, if you are only on 1100kcal at night prehaps readjust your routine to have more calories in the morning. if you dont manage to hit your daily goals the odd couple of times, dont worry your body wont suddenly get into starvation mode, that will…
  • i wouldnt date you, but you look great! id go shopping or something with you :)
  • hey there, these things take time and if youre going for a lifestyle adjustment then 2 months is only a small amount of time. May i ask what your goals are? and what amount of calories mfp is telling you to eat per day?
