I found the link for you... http://nutrition.about.com/library/blwatercalculator.htm There are a series of questions they ask you about your weight, exercise, alcoholic intake, pregnancy, breast feeding, etc. Afterwards, it tells you how much water you should be drinking based on these criterias. Here's some tips that they…

My first thought is why are you drinking so much water, when the recommended amount is 64 ounces? There's a website, and I'll have to try to locate it that tells you how much extra water you should drink per day, especially if you are exercising. Another option for water intake would be herbal tea (caffeine free).

I didn't read all the responses. Sometimes you'll fall off for one meal, but don't let that sabotage the entire day. I know will power is the WORST thing in my life. For example, today I stopped at the store to get snacks for the girls to have after I pick them up at school. Silly me picked up my FAVORITE crackers and…

Geez, I would have thought that I consume an extra 500 calories. I'm curious to see responses to that one.

So I question after reading your 2nd paragraph and see Newport and "Wicked" that you must be speaking of Newport, RI? Happy Anniversary... I'd like to think that those special days are meant for enjoying your meals, regardless of the calorie content. Just think today's a new day and get back on the wagon.

I'd say a handful is about 1 cup. Lettuce is probably one of those foods you could eat and eat and eat and not worry about quantity and weight gain. If you have a scale, I'm sure that you could weigh out the amount too. I read on Answers.com that 6 ounces = 1 cup, maybe solids are different than liquids??

I started the diet with a coworker yesterday. Yes, I did purchase the book, but I had a $10 credit to Amazon, so I only paid 1/2 the cost. I've done all the diets and succeed and gain and give up. I know how to eat healthy and do eat relatively healthy foods and I know that everything in moderation/portion size, but…

Definitely something with protein to keep you feeling full. The salad idea is definitely a great route and provided you have no objection to variety, you can definitely incorporate some filling veggies in the salad.

I bought the PB2 and really like it. I have considered trying the Chocolate, but never got around to it. I think I purchased a special because I bought several containers and split the cost with a friend, so it didn't seem so much. It really does taste like peanut butter, but does lack the consistency of peanut butter.…

As a low fat alternative to Peter Pan (my favorite), I'll make PB2 powdered peanut butter. PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter It's what's not in PB2 that makes it so good for you. For starters, our special process removes 85% of the fat calories without the chemicals typically used in producing reduced fat foods. Something else…

I usually give exercise a break for the rest of the day after donating. I definitely drink water to capacity and eat smaller meals throughout the day.

I just found this online - not sure if it helps you with the calorie counts... http://caloriecount.about.com/calories-pork-fresh-loin-country-style-i10209 Are you making them yourself or are you going out to eat and having them? The latter would incur more calories in my opinion.

I find that when I am achieving my perfect water intake...I lose weight successfully :flowerforyou:
I do too! It seems that it takes a bit of time to get the bladder to be able to control a larger intake of water.
-
While it might count for water, remember to count the calories too. I don't retain the water, but I find it easier to drink flavored water than plain water, and I definitely drink more. Hence my nickname "Camel" because I drink so much, and when I finally have to go to the bathroom, it seems like I'm releasing the faucet.

oh, and one other thing, you're looking for "smart" food choices in a donut shop???
Yes, you're right... I didn't make the smartest choice... Typically I make my coffee for the drive in and pack my breakfast and lunch to avoid this type of temptation. I needed the extra caffeine and wanted something to eat before…

I took my first Zumba class on Monday and I LOVE IT!!! I love the music and the instructor that we have (this little thing and preggo) had so much motivation!! I want to get some DVD's to do at home, since the class is only offered 1 time a week. I saw that someone posted: https://www.zumbafitness.com/flare/next Any…

I took a Zumba class today for the first time and it was great. Although I lack coordination, I think if I were to keep it up, I'd definitely see results. The only issue I'm facing is my knee is killing me. Not sure if its from the Zumba, lack of stretching or age.

Definitely make sure you are eating your carbs and protein. You need to balance yourself out - eating from the 4 food groups to successfully maintain & lose weight.

I made frittatas this weekend and they were yummy! They're about 120 calories each and the recipe is from WW. Individual Ham, Cheese and Veggie Frittatas. The one thing I do have to note is that the hash brown potatoes have to be flavored up a bit - salt, pepper, spices, something. They're too bland as is. POINTS® Value: 2…

Also, remember your body needs the extra calories to burn fat, especially if you're working out so much. Otherwise, if you eat too little, your body will start to burn away the muscle.

Dancing, aerobic, ballet or modern, twist I just plugged in 45 minutes and it came up to 285 calories. I haven't taken the class yet (will try on Monday), so I cannot tell if that's accurate.
-
I did about 45 minutes of roller blading and my calories burned was pretty high. Feeling it the next day really told me that it must have burned some serious calories... ouch!

Stick to your guns and your schedule. Most people are pretty receptive to the idea of others being in a routine. Also, while frozen stuff is easy to make, do you really think you're guests want to eat that? Try out some new menu ideas on them - show them the new types of food you enjoy eating. And Moderation is the key!

I love New Balance because they have Wide, which makes it more comfortable for me when walking/jogging. When Bob's didn't have the shoes in stock anymore, I went to ****'s sporting goods and fell in love with Sacouny. I also wear orthodics in my shoes, which make a world of difference for my knees and foot pain.

I'm kind of on a plateau myself, but I'm trying to switch up when I go to the gym. Today I did it in the morning before work. Tomorrow I will do the treadmill at home, Wed & Thurs I will go to the fitness classes at the gym and Friday the treadmill at home. I need help with the food idea. I get stuck in the rut of eating…

Welcome from MA! Where are you located? I'm new myself to the message board, but I've been tracking for about 2 months.
-
When I donate blood, I have to increase my iron intake. They always tell me to have raisins. Maybe put them in your breakfast foods?
-
I agree it's hard, but look at your tracker and how far you have gotten. 46 pounds is pretty impressive and something that you should be proud of!! But if you crave salty, try to go to the 100 calorie packs, and if it doesn't keep you satisfied, find something else to occupy your mind. Go for a walk, have a huge glass of…

Sometimes I try to break it up with flavored seltzers. The bubbles actually make me full. I saw that you don't like the artificial sweeteners. How about using fresh fruit? Limes, Lemons, Oranges? Someone mentioned that lemon is actually very helpful for your body's absorption of water into the system.

FYI: I think Dunkin Donuts website has the nutritional information for most of their products, including the sandwiches.
