Yes. If you're not weighing your food that probably is the problem. Use a digital food scale. Also, you don't say how much you've lost, but as you get smaller you need fewer calories. Reprogram your goals and it will give you a new daily calorie goal.

You need patience and stay the course---no matter what. Weight loss is a rollercoaster with hills and valleys. You will not lose the same amount every week. Sometimes you will gain, as mentioned, water weight comes into play. Take pics and measurements as you go along.

Excuse me, but am I getting this right? You are losing 6.5 lbs a week and you think that's nothing? Whoa......slow down honey. That's a fast rate of loss, perhaps too fast if it continues. Patience. This will be a long haul. Don't burn yourself out. You should pace your weight loss and learn correct portion sizes so you…

I agree--especially since there are more and more announcements. Can't there be a category for "Announcements"? After a new one is up a week, move it into it's category.

80% of weight loss is being in a calorie deficit. Exercising is good for you and will give you a few extra calories. You don't give your stats and the daily calorie goal that MFP gave you. Do you weigh and measure all food and drink? Do you use a digital food scale? Also, weight loss is like a rollercoaster, it has peaks…

You can plug your own foods into the data base. I live in Italy and do that with our products here. You only have to do it once.

Many days--dis be me. :D

Look for hotels in Mestre which is a town right outside Venice. The prices should be a lot better. If you want to go a bit farther look at Chioggia--a fishing town near Venice, but you'll have to take a bus or vaporetto to get to Venice. Chioggia is quaint and has canals and brightly painted fishing boats. I lived there…

Ninfa is sort of like this.

This is a very old thread, but with all the "I lack motivation" threads running on here everyday, it needs to be shouted out. Motivation is fleeting. Make a decision and start making good habits.

I found my Italian husband on the beach when I went on vacation by myself.

Sorry to tell you this, but it isn't going to happen. Your deficit would be impossible and your health would be at serious risk. Why so fast? What's the rush? It took awhile to put the weight on, and it will take awhile to get it off. So, I'd advise you to plug your stats into MFP, get your daily calorie goal and try and…

The squirrels will be here any minute. :p

Oh!......aren't you tired of shoveling yet? You'll be in great shape. What a calorie burn! :D :D

Ours is iffy too. They're putting in new lines in our area. It goes off and then comes on again. Yep, we're used to staying "connected".
-
I threw together my supper---grilled zucchinini (with salt and EVOO), breaded chicken breasts, and grilled cheese sandwiches.
-
I just made "smokin'" hot chocolate with the littlest squirrel. :D Now, we're off to play in the LR. PS: Asparagus risotto was snarfed up quick. They licked their chops.

Spring snow is wet and heavy, I don't envy you. It's finally raining here, but won't last long, tomorrow sunshine. No walk in the park (husband hates rain). Today I'll make an asparagus risotto. This afternoon I have the squirrels and supper for 8. I'm still thinking of what to prepare--time to dig around in the freezer.

Pasta with Smoked Salmon A good quality pasta, durum grain--dry or fresh fettucine. Use 100g a person or whatever your portion is. Sauce: For 500g 150g smoked salmon 200ml cream 2 tbl EVOO 1/2 tsp vegetable broth (cube or crystals) pepper to taste 4 tbl grated Parmigiano Reggiano Put olive oil in a saucepan and cut the…

You're right. I think it's because when you slip on a sidewalk, it's unexpected. When you fall skating, you're expecting a fall and fall in a better way. I don't skate--Mom did, so I'm no expert on the question.
-
Nope, no seasoning in the water--just salt.
-
Always add coarse salt--usually sea salt. About a tbl per 400g of pasta and abondant water. No, we never add oil to the water, or spices, just sea salt.

My favorite pasta is Rummo. It also has a lot of protein, to my surprise--14.5 grams per 100g. I also buy La Molisana, Garofalo, and Barilla. I don't make my own. I could, but usually have to throw a meal together in half an hour. ALWAYS cook pasta al dente. The cooking time is on the package, so I watch the clock like a…

Ah....Bagno Reggio! I was there once. It's incredible.

Well......Stairway to Heaven it's not. ;)

What i do now, after years of exercising, is to do something everyday. So I change it up, because every movement adds something. I powerwalk, reg walk, swim, do acquagym, yogaflex, tai chi, stretching (at home), and gymstuff. During the week, I hit all these and if I had more time, I'd add others. I do 10 hours or more a…

I'm watching "The Blues Brothers" tonight--love that film. Batten down the hatches. Spring IS on the way. :D :D

When I saw your photo I thought it was the one we have in Rome--the Alberto Sordi Gallery. It's very similar, and is mostly closed for restoration. It's a lovely building.

If you want to post on the English forum--you have to post in English (Deve postare in inglese on questo forum--regole). Buona giornata.

You know this place is mostly closed up now because they're doing work on it. :)
