Alice! That sounds like us (ok, mostly). I love your take on it and do think my daughter would not think of replacing stuff that she is cutting out. I liked lynn's advice as well. I already cook stuff separately so that my other daughter can eat part of what I am making. Definitely veggies and/or salad,…

Just a note....this is my daughter's choice. She has her own reasons for choosing to become vegan. I know it can be a loaded discussion on either side (for or against)...we have had discussions in our home. I know not everyone will understand or support her reason or choice but I appreciate those of you who offer great…

So, we recently had her blood tested and she was low on Vit D. She has begun taking Vit D and I will have her take B Complex (6/12) as well. Since she is also stopping any dairy, she is drinking Almond milk which is fine. I think the iron is something to note, so I will have her take a multi vitamin. I'm sure I will also…

No, definitely not doing it to lose weight. It might be a phase but I won't know until she changes her mind (or not). I do want to support her choice. I appreciate the advice and links so far!

Personally, I opt for 4-5 days/week doing 30DS (if I skip a day during the week, I do a workout on the weekend). I also try to walk plenty during the week. I just restarted the DVD after a few weeks of very minimal exercise. Day 3 and I'm pretty sore. I prefer to do Level one for 10 days (not straight in a row, taking 2…

Flat out bread (90 cal), spread about 2 tbsp hummus, a handful of spinach, turkey (or whichever lunch meat you choose....2 slices?), tomato and cucumber.....roll it up and super yummy lunch with very little calories!

Looks yummy!

Hi ladies! I finished 30 DS a few months ago. Kinda slacked on exercise this summer (esp the last few weeks). I started 30 DS again today. Feel free to add me (anyone :-) It's good to have exercise buddies! I totally lost inches and a little weight the last time I did the whole thing. Good luck to all!!

I have a 22 year old son, 20 yr. old and 15 year old daughters. Depression and anxiety seem to run in our family. I would say that you should talk to someone. Maybe go to see your regular Dr. and ask them to recommend someone you can talk to. That's a start.…

Some excellent ideas for options.....thanks!!! I'll have to check my supermarket to see what's available by me!!

Thanks everyone! I love sourdough bread but the calories add up. At least the flatbread has more protein and less carbs in them. I make a sandwich/burrito looking thing. Hummus, turkey or ham, spinach or romaine, tomato and roll it up. Pretty tasty and filing and overall not a ton of calories.

That is awesome. You look amazing...so happy you are looking out for yourself and are happy and healthy :-) Great job!

I think I'll give it a try....haven't done any challenges before :-)

I have kinda fallen apart over the last two weeks. I was on Week 3 but only managed to do 5 workouts in 2 weeks. I was sick and we are having work done at our house and have been sleeping in our living room (OMG lol)....so no morning workout possible with people sleeping in my workout space! BUT...I hope the work is done…

I think I would wait until Monday to start workouts (because of the hair). I think doing RI30 on days you don't go to the gym would be good. You could try doing both if you have the time. See how you feel?

Looks yummy.....I'll have to try it! Thanks :-)

Day 3 of Week 3 Done today. Working out 5 days a week and will continue to do 2 weeks of each week (10 workouts)....I still modify some of the moves but I feel like I'm getting stronger and better at the ones I struggle with....

Awesome....great job!!

Today was day 2 of week 3. OMG....it really is hard. I'm sore in weird places. Not a bad thing....lol just different. Some of the moves are pretty difficult so I am just doing the best I can knowing that as the week goes on, it should get easier. Every morning when I get out of bed I am thinking: JUST DO IT!
-
You look fantastic....great job! Thank you for sharing :-)

Started week 3 today. It's FAST moving! Yikes.....I got thru it and was really sweaty!! Had to modify moves but like all the other weeks, after a few days it should get easier. Happy Monday!!

Today was my last day of week 2 (YAY)!!! Starting week 3 on Monday! Thank goodness.....although I must say after 9 workouts of week 2, I am definitely able to do the moves better than in the beginning! :-) Happy Friday!

My mom's recipe: mashed avocado, garlic salt, lemon or lime juice, mild green chilis, shredded jack cheese.....YUM, and my basic that the family loves: mashed avocado, garlic salt and lemon juice (from a real lemon, not the imitation).....simple but delicious. Guacamole is great but avocado on anything is also great:…

Best and easiest thing I do with it.....cut lemons and put on bottom of pyrex dish. Lie fish on top of lemon, sprinkle garlic salt, lemon pepper and dill on top of fish, pour some wine in the bottom of the dish (I don't measure but enough to almost cover the bottom of the dish...) put foil over the pan and cook for…

I agree...I think that even if you skip a few days, start right back up where you left off. It does get easier (especially past day 3 of whatever week you are on) . I haven't even peeked at week 3 yet. Maybe that's for the best. I will attempt it no matter how hard :-) I plan to start week 3 on Monday of next week. Great…

I started ahead of most of you....but I didn't work out sat-mon.....so I am on day 6 of week 2. My wrists hurt and all the things (crow push ups, renegade rows, table tops) are all difficult to do but I pretty much use 5lb wts and do modified exercises. I will workout thru the end of the week and start week 3 next monday.

You girls can do it!!! I'm on day three and either I'm crazy or it's a little easier? Keep on thinking of the results we will get. Happy Wednesday :-)
