  • Yes you should be eating your calories - but to note...after the first few weeks sometimes months your weight loss will slow down. I start at 3 - 4 pounds then to 2 - 3 pounds now down to .4 to 1.8 per week. The more you lose and the more time passes the slower it gets. You can go a little bit under goal calories…
  • Started with the 1200 like most others that begin here then found the road map which I have been using. (TDEE-%) I started light movement - treadmill. Found that boring but did it at first. Then I tried different work out DVDs. When I found the ones I love...I stuck to those mixing them up a bit. Find exercise that you…
  • the only thing I have cut out of my life (for now) is fried dough and bread bowls from Domino's pizza...other than that..I eat what I want for the most part so long as it is in my calories. Tortilla chips with reduced fat cheese and salsa a few times per week in this house :)
  • I have been on this journey since December. My husband just recently joined me thus me adding more "healthy" food to my list for his lunches. Prior to him joining me I made some of my food different than for my family (no pasta, hamburg, white grains etc for me) Still semi healthy for them..but I have 2 8 yr olds and a…
  • Sadly have not touched it since I started my journey. Once I hit goal I will slowly bring it back however..one serving is really not enough for my taste buds..it leaves me wanting more. I currently use Shirataki noodles in place of it :( For the fam I only buy whole wheat though.
  • I freeze pasta ALL the time. I do not freeze it with anything in it though. I separate the additions. I put the drained pasta in a plastic zip bag (doubled up to prevent moisture). When defrosting I just sit it in boiling water for a few minutes...perfect everytime :) I have found thick veggie sauces can get watery after…
  • In theory yes - however may not always be :/ I track everything..food - exercise etc etc The numbers almost never add up for me in terms of what i lose to my deficit. If you burn / calorie restrict you will lose..but it will not always be exact. I have scene a pattern with mine - ranges from .4 to 2.8 regardless of my…
  • What ever we have for dinner my husband has the following day. If he has a out of office job he hits subway. The only frozen meal he ever has is the Jimmy Dean delights english muffin for AM convenience. Weekends or very rare work lunch - we have sandwiches on Arnold pockets (stuffed with veggies of his choice and usually…
  • I personally do not drink beer - however my husband who is now watching his calorie intake likes to have a few. He usually drinks bud light and bud light lime. I grabbed him Miller 64 and select 55 to try. He prefers the Miller 64 but if you do not like bud light try the select 55 :) (number in name is calorie count) If…
  • Your thought is correct :) I zig zag my calories ALL the time - mostly not on purpose. However...you do not want your high calorie day(s) within 24 hours of your weigh in. I do not go over my calories eating say a whopper or anything..but sometimes a girl needs a few alcoholic beverages ;) or I may of been hungrier today…
  • Thanks guys LMAO ya looking at my before is a bit nauseating however...I am SO glad I took them (and hid them till now LOL)
  • I checked the reviews before getting mine - i and my husband have the zip. I have seen way too many bad reviews for the new flex so sadly i am sticking to the zip for now. It does not count stairs or sleep - if you need those I would go with the one. If not...get the zip ;)

  • Make sure you are connected through MFP for FITBIT not the other way around. (you have to go to apps on MFP and connect that way..not through Fitbit site) If you are connected that way - you def. want to contact fitbit or use MFP support forum
  • I have mine set at 35% carbs - 40% protein and 25% fat This has worked wonders for me. Regardless of my cal goal - MFP has never calculated my macros right
  • ^^^^ THIS!!! :)
  • I have tried both the spaghetti kind and the macaroni. I found the macaroni to be better. They both are rubbery - rinsed (forever lol) then sauteed in pam or ICBINB until semi dry. I then top with LOTS of sauteed veggies (peppers, onions, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes) spaghetti sauce and turkey burger. They are not pasta…
  • Vacations can wreak havoc on a diet :/ For future reference...try to stay close to your normal (diet) eating patterns. You may still gain, but it will not be huge. I went away for 4 days - had lobster (not bad) but also BUTTER..the real stuff lol I also had breakfast sandwich from Dunkins, a 3 muskateers etc. Stuff I would…
  • Ok netting that makes me feel better for you LOL - I have had days where I had a net that low due to non anticipated workouts. (I pre plan most of my meals) yes def. check out the BMR - this site has a calculation under the apps tab :)
  • You said you were netting 1200 a day. and not losing - are you calculating your food or your exercise correctly? If you over estimate you burn and eat those back this could be an issue ad the same with under estimating food intake. Are you now only eating 700 - 800 or netting that? I agree check your BMR -
  • When I started on here..like most I was doing the 1200. At first it was pure torture then I adjusted and started having a hard time eating that. I started working out and thought there is NO way 1200 is healthy for me!! I am not a maniac with work outs - only burn between 200 and 500 each session depending on activity. I…
  • I totally agree with this!! ^
  • I was looking into Charlene's videos before..cost is not an issue so maybe I will see what is out there. I heard mixed reviews on her then decided on hip hop abs but I like to mix things up. TX :)
  • this looks promising - they have some really short ones I can combine with others or do here and there when I have a couple minutes :) Thank you everyone!! Need to start planning now before school ends so I am not freaking out lol
  • OK I have a new question for the ladies that have diastasis recti When you sneeze or bend over say the sink or tub...does it feel like something is twisted or stuck in your abdomen and then you can actually feel it release or unwind as the pain subsides??? Reason I ask this - I have this issue have told the doctors about…
  • hmmm I guess that is a good chance - the twins were both almost 6 pounds (I gained almost 100 with them!) full term preg. Will check into this!! :)
  • eeek! Definitely something for me to keep in mind :/ Thank you!
  • I do not feel bloated at all and bowel movements are regular (I Know TMI lol) - I too feel like the upper got bigger.. looking at the lower..the lower is by far way smaller than it was 2 months ago but the upper just did not budge. Weirdest thing I have ever seen!! It annoys me because I can fit into a smaller shirt now…
  • Thank you :) Will give it some more time before I start getting all dramatic about my food diary haha Other than veggie / fruits I did not think I consumed a whole lot of "bad" carbs where it could cause an issue - and I agree with the high pregnancy..exactly how my oldest sat towards the end :)
  • My hrm keeps on counting :/ Will have to look at past MFP totals to see if it deducts when I add the workouts :)
