I do... but you have to take a real HARD look at your diary. It's NOT always calories in, calories out

Hi Sandie

It's common sense. Read a few diet books and you will get a knowledge of what foods are, and what is good or bad. Doesn't matter which book, all the info is the same.... just different packages. If that's too much info... follow the KISS method: lean meats and veggies only.

They are just NUMBERS on a chart... it's the result that matters.

If you can't get similar stuff here, you can always make it. Nothing here looks THAT difficult. Plus, my hamburger bun doesn't need squid ink... LOL

trust the Polar

They still make those? You can always go to the regular website. I have to, many times, because the app rarely works
-
if you are comparing a 'diet' to anorexia... you either don't understand proper nutrition, or need help. Reading a few healthy diet books will give you a good sense of what you SHOULD be doing, then look over your own habits, and make those adjustments.

NO ONE eats more than I do. (So I say that story is false)

You would be close if you are working hard enough. Wear a HRM when working out. It helps you get a feel for what you have to do to get a good calorie burn.

Chicago style pizza and the Chinese buffet. But as I get older, chocolate has been calling my name more often.

SLOW DOWN... you're young enough to not rush into things. Give him some space, some time. I did the same thing 25 years ago after my ex gf and I broke up, and ruined a few first dates. It wasn't until I found the love of my life that I let go.
-
Just remember that there are people here who support you, and will help you through this. (HINT, HINT... LOL)

Do you measure your food and log accurately? Weigh everything in grams using a food scale. You may think you had a cup of something when you may have had THREE... been there, done that. :grumble:
-
Hey, Donna. I'm ready to start fresh... AGAIN! :grumble:
-
Pizza is my weakness as well... esp. Chicago style. But for some reason, I'm craving chocolate.

if you never saw this guy, I suggest you check out his website and youtube videos. Talks about everything from nutrition, to working out, and how to succeed. http://scoobysworkshop.com/

one cup of dry popcorn would fill a room!

What a nice photo, Caryn. I just popped a kernel. :embarassed:

dry, and in grams... not cups. Problem happens when you cook for multiple people. If you measure what you're putting in the pot, then measure your cooked amount, realizing that it is 1/4 of the total... then do the math. In other words, it's not rocket science, but guesstimating.

Maybe he likes you because he likes Star Trek. You look just like Shatner... or are you Spock?
-
DO NOT MARRY HIM! If there is no trust... there is no relationship. Maybe after the attitude adjustment.
