  • At least say "excuse me"
  • There are so many rules, some written, some unwritten. I think the one thing that bothers me the most is someone leaving a bench or machine without wiping it down. Most gyms have sani wipes and signs posted everywhere and its just plain gross and disrespectful to walk away from a sweaty nasty machine.
  • I'll try and explain it like this. Your body whether you exercise or not burns Calories, from the time you get up in the morning to the time you go to bed at night, and yes, even when you are sleeping, your body burns calories. simply from breathing. The amount of activity determines how many you burn. MFP, going by your…
  • First thing you should do is measure. Weight loss is not always a tell all on whether or not your are losing fat or not. Another suggestion I would have is take a look at your goals. I don't know your height/weight, but 1250 is a pretty low calorie goal for most. It's possible that your calorie goal is too low and your…
  • Hello Seadoo, I will tell you from personal experience, that the midsection is the last to go for most. I will also tell you that there is no magic machine, sequence of exercise that will "target" the midsection. My advice is keep eating right with a healthy calorie deficit, and a mix of cardiovascular and strength…
  • Yes, and it's gone in two bites 3/4 Cup is a serving.
  • The Gym I go to has two scales, and they differ by about 5lbs. I agree with above about the Dr.s scales, there's no telling when the last time they were calibrated. For your own sanity, only weigh in on one scale and stick with that
  • 12 Lbs = 10,585
  • I agree with all of the above. "Diet" is just a word. Your diet is what you eat, and it should be sustainable for a lifetime. People that enter 60 and 90 day weight loss programs gain the weight right back, or quit before they get to the end because its too overwhelming. Also, Why are you waiting until tomorrow? Start…
  • Simply Amazing, and an inspiration!
  • Most people fluctuate throughout the week, but if you track the fluctuations over a period of time, you will start to notice a pattern. This is because generally our activities throughout our week are comparable to most weeks. You might have more meetings to go to on Tuesday at work so you burn more calories, but you might…
  • It depends on your self-control. If you are very strict about your food intake, and don't have issues with backsliding, then I'd say I wouldn't worry about the two big meals. A couple of "bad" days is not going to hurt you. Also, don't feel like you have to stock the fridge full of foods you can't eat cuz the kids are…

  • Totally agree here. You should be "Pre-Fuelling" healthy food and make sure you start hydrating a few hours before the run. Water Post run is like putting on sunblock after you go to the beach :-) Watch out for the cramps though, don't try drinking a crazy amount of water or food just before you start...
  • Nothing to feel dumb about. We all start somewhere. If you have a question just ask and someone out there I gaurantee has been where you are at, and that is why we are here... To help each other out.
