  • What you do on race day should mirror what you do at home before your runs. So for me I always do my longer more serious runs on the weekend. So the night before I eat slightly more carbs, don't have any alcohol, drink a bit more water. Then the morning of my run I eat exactly the same thing anywhere from 1-2 hours before…
  • I use Sun Warrior- its vegan. Only 84 calories and I mix it in Silk about 100 calories- which has a protein in it as well.
  • I hear you! I have 4 kids ages 4-14 and work f/t, as does my husband. I hate making lunch, and all 4 kids bring (refusing to buy the yucky lunchroom food any day other than Friday - pizza day. Making Thursdays nights my favorite weeknight b/c I don't have to make lunch. What I do is practically make my lunch at work. Today…
  • Amazing!
  • Funny! Grunting is perfectly acceptable... increases the bad *kitten* factor by 75%!

  • You are losing all of the good fat. I stir it once and refrigerate. MUCH easier to spread as well which makes one tablespoon go a long way.
  • LOL funny- yes- i know exactly who you are talking about, the one who wearsthe heart rate monitor on her arm. She does get a little over excited. I'm boring I just watch Challene
  • I jog with stroller and also don't take into account the stroller when logging my cardio. It IS however harder for me to run while pushing stroller, but I dont think that equals more calories burned.
  • Oh no.. I didnt look that far ahead. But I may have similiar issues. Someone lent me my DVDs, so I printed the scheudle and started moving. I know that I am missing Fire 45, so I am subbing Fire 45 EZ. Today is the first day of week 5, 55 EZ.
  • Loving these workouts, I'm in week 4. But the stretch 10??? I am SO over stretching my rotator cuffs! I now turned that DVD into Stretch 7 b/c I end it 3 minutes short.
  • Yes, I paused mine 3xs last night for kiddie issues.. but still.. I got it done!
  • WOW! Those look so good! Can't wait to try them.
  • Thats great! I have run about 8 halfs and two fulls. I am a slow runner, but I get there (about 10-11 minute mile on my long runs). You dont need gel for a half. I would see what the race you signed up for is providing on the course. Hopefully they have Gatorade, b/c water alone is not enough. If they don't offer Gatorade…
  • I am also new, in week 3. I have never done anything like this before. I recently trained for a marathon, but found I was up a few pounds and not toned at all! I have had 4 kids, am going to be 36 soon, and need to tone up this body and loose another 10 pounds. I found the first week I was VERY sore. I could hardly sit…
  • Turbo Fire will NOT substitue your training for your run. If you are working up to a 5K I suggest you stick to your training program. And squeeze in Turbo Fire where you can.
  • I use one that pulls behind bike (you can obviously push it as well- handle is removable). I have had it for 4 years- two kids (my first two kids i used a traditional double jogging stroller and HATED it). The only down side is it is NOT compact. But I can fit it in the back on my mini van. I can still push my 6 year old…
  • bondi bands They make head bands, but they also make a great arm band that fits anything! I love it
  • I am starting week 3 today and so far so good. I haven't missed any workouts and I am really enjoying it. I was concerned that I wasn't sore after my weekened workouts. I am going to pay close attention to my form this week
  • I have the wrist version- the sporty one. I really like- you can put a motivational quote on the bottom, which I like.
  • Good point- I always like Hal Higdons, Cool Runnings, Marathon Rookie, or Jeff Galloway. I look at them all- then pick and choose what I think will work for me. But I stick to my plan.
  • I totally agree. I just ran my second marathon, and I weigh more now then I did when I started. For me it was the long runs that did me in. I would carb load before my run and then after I would be so hungry I would overeat again after. In in my head I had an excuse, b/c I had burned so many calories running. Clearly I was…
  • YES, 4-4-4-3-LR. Thank you! What Marathon are you thinking of doing? I am like you- have run MANY 5ks, about 6 half marathons, but have little experience with the full. I may never do it again- who knows. My first was the Disney Marathon in January of 2012, the second was Rock and Roll in DC 3/16/13. VERY different…
  • My friend lent me the DVDs and I printed out a schedule. Today it states I am to do Fire 45, but I dont have that- I only have Fire 45 EZ

  • I have run two marathons, the most recent being two weeks ago. I am a slow runner- ran them in about 5 hours. My goal was simply to finish I ran 3, 4 mile runs during the week, a 3 mile jog on Sat (which I skipped sometimes), and then my long run on Sundays. I inched my way up to 22 miles 3 weeks before race day and then…
  • I am training for a Marathon, which is in 3 weeks. I started with turbo fire and it has really interferred w/ my running. I am sore the day following a turbo fire cardio workout. Which makes fitting in all my runs difficult. So I am doing the stretching workouts and abs until after my race. I am sure if I had started turbo…
  • Ate one serving of the chips that were in the lunch room... logged it... and didn't go back!
