Thank you so much! Mostly focused on building muscle / reducing fat. The number on the scale isn't as much the end-game at this point. I work out three times a week with cardio / weight training for 1 hour per session (used to be Orangetheory until Covid). I use MFP to track my meals and try to focus on eating more protein…

Not done yet but I’ve lost over 40 pounds and feel great!!

Me, me, me! In that same boat! Lost almost 30 pounds and gained ALL back! Going to start over, but I'm already on the path - lost two pounds so far! :)

I've done a marathon [although it would truly be a stretch to say "run"] and two half marathons. My first half marathon time was 3:15 - and I was pretty miserable but finished. My second was 3:03 and I was the cheerleader for a group of first time runners, so I know I could have had a better time. In general, I run about…

I'm 5'8 and 171 pounds - I'm trying to get back down to 155, i love the way I feel there! Add me :)

I'm 5'9 at 158 and I know i could be skinnier, but i would look extremely thin. It depends on what your weight consists of, but I think a lot of mine is muscle, so weighing much less wouldn't look too flattering on me. Just focus on getting to a weight that you're comfortable with, and decide as you go. I think I was…

I really like the thai and bbq salads - get the dressings on the side (dip your fork) and they're really great! Also, I like the broccoli and cheddar soup - So so good! If you're in the mood for a sandwich - the cafe sandwiches are a great bet - just ask for no mayo :) Usually can get out of there in under 500 calories!…

I live in Brandon and go to the YouFit gym by the Brandon mall - I plan on starting to run down on Bayshore and such :)

I generally try to do about 45 minutes of cardio and mix in weights with an upper body day and a lower body day. I'm not lifting super heavy, just enough to be a challenge after doing a couple sets of the weight I'm using. On days that I can't make it to the gym, I try to pop in a Jillian Michael's DVD (ripped in 30) or…

Sorry about my whiney post earlier, but I posted this a week ago and was hoping for a response and got nothing! After all that work I was so disappointed, but now I feel better :) And it's reinspiring me to get back to my A-Game. I have been a bit lacking this week. As for an earlier question, I started getting fit around…

It makes me sad that no one comments on my journey. I guess it's just not that inspiring.

No kids yet! But I can definitely understand you're struggling! It's so hard to feel like enough is enough! I feel pretty great about my body, but I still want to venture into the 150's instead of the 160's. I'm starting to recognize that going lower than that wouldn't look very "healthy" on me. Thanks for the sweet…

Thanks! I'm super nervous about it, but I made up a plan and hopefully it works out :)
-
Also, I'm 5'9!

Awesome job :)

Very inspiring story! You look awesome!
-
Awesome! Can't wait to get that far :)
-
Too cute :) Congrats!
-
It took me about 10 pounds to see a difference and my friends/family 17 pounds!

Amazing!!!! :)

Hi Paris! I remember how hard it was starting out, it can be daunting and frustrating - especially when your body isn't used to the new "plan". Okay, so I have a few questions beyond this - what is your caloric goal? How much are you trying to lose a week? Depending on your answers - there could be a variety of reasons why…

Lift weights! Seriously. In the beginning of my healthy lifestyle change, I was doing lots of cardio (Read: elliptical) and eating less. I lost weight but I still looked flabby and felt flabby and awful, basically. Fast forward - I've been lifting weights, incorporating cardio into my weight training (think 30 day shred or…
