OMG - within the first 12 weeks. How depressing. I have mostly a food-belly right now, but I just couldn't get into my regular pants anymore. This is my 4th though...

Age: 40 Height: 5'5" Starting weight: 140 lb 12 weeks: 150 lb OMG - I am have gained soooo much weight already. I shouldn't be surprised. My last 3 pregnancies I had the same rapid weight gain - but I started at a much lower weight the last 3 times.... I have been feeling very nauseous and have been carb overloading to try…

Today, for one day, I am going to stop being depressed and obsessed by how stubborn this 20 lbs of extra weight is. I have no idea why I have gained, or why 3 months of solid exercising and eating has not moved a single inch or lb. But, I am going to try hard today to accept that fact that my body is what it is, and the…

Heather - that fitnessblender site looks awesome. Want to pick a few from there to add to the 30DS? The 20 min butt/thigh/ab one looked really good! I find 30DS (Level 1 at least) doesn't give me enough of a leg work-out...

I have found walking lunges and squats to work well for firmer legs

I knew I would never get up before work to exercise on my own, so I hired a personal trainer who come to my house. When someone that you are paying is knocking on your door, you have to get up! Now, 2 months later, I DO get up to work-out, even on days when the trainer isn't scheduled. That only is a huge accomplishment…

UGH - I can relate. I bought a bag of snack size York Peppermint Patties so I could enjoy one 50 cal. sweet craving at the 3:00 slump. Well, it is now 3:43, and I have just polished off 7 of them for a whooping 350 cal. Worse than the calories is the fact that there is no way I will be able to correct my macros for the…

I usually have a glass of water and some fruit - raspberries or a small plum or a kiwi. it seems to be enough that I get some energy, but not so much that I have full or upset tummy while working out.

I have to work-out in the morning, or else I just won't do it. I get up at 6:00 usually at the same time as my little guy. I put on a TV show for him and he is pretty happy for an hour. It took awhile, where he kept asking my to do stuff (ie) get him a drink, change the channel, etc. but now he knows that if I am…
its actually only an extra 240 cal a day to gain 25lb in a year, so a chocolate bar or something more, scary really how easy that is to do!
That sure puts things in perspective!

M/W/F 6:30 - 7:30 am. At first, the kiddies got in the way a bit, but they soon realized that I was not going to stop my work-out to help them with anything. Now, they either do their own thing, join in, or watch. They are 4, 7, 9. my 7 year-old can plank like there's no tomorrow! She is my inspiration - one day I WILL…

Pineygirlyour post took the words right out of my mouth!!! This was/is my cycle.... Start my day with a coffee, and eat nothing until I came home at night, Ate a super huge dinner, but then snacked and ate whatever I wanted all weekend. I lost all my baby weight after my 3rd child this way, and then when I hit my lowest…

Since joining MFP I have also been packing lunches. Actually eating lunch is very new for me - I used to skip it! I buy one of the 5 oz. tubs of pre-washed salad greens, and a can of tuna (or if I have left-over meat form the night before, I will bring that instead of the tuna (i.e.) turkey or chicken. I add cut up veggies…

-egg white omlette (no cheese, or very little, packed with whatever veggies are on hand) - 1/2 pita pocket stuffed with egg white + leftover meat from dinner (i.e.) chicken breast, ham, turkey, etc. diced + veggie - I love greek yogurt and fruit, but am trying to stay away from dairy for now... -green smoothie with protein…
