Well done - I feel the same (also 13 pounds down) - plenty still to go, but I feel that I've finally changed in my attitude to fitness and food! :-)

I found the same thing - I bought a HRM and have had a lot more success with weight loss as the machines at my gym were showing me as having burned more calories than my HRM now tells me I am.

Really inspirational, shows the reality of the journey we're all on when we join MFP. Not always easy, but with motivational stuff like this on here then it makes you feel like it can be done! :-) Well done and thank you for being such a great MFP friend. :-)

Definitely recommend it, especially as it a short, intense, work-out so it's easier to motivate yourself to keep going with it. :-)

Yeah, I tend to save mine for when I really fancy something, then I feel fulfilled - otherwise I just wish I'd have stuck to the healthy option if I wasn't that bothered. :-)

I aim to weight myself every 2 weeks, but sometimes it makes me feel too anxious, so I don't force myself when I feel like that, I just stick to what I'm doing and wait until I feel positive enough to go for it - that way I figure even if the numbers aren't kind, I can still think I've been making the changes in any case.…

Defintely agree on this, I still can't believe the amount of calories in some foods and the difference between what I used to consider a portion and what a portion is deemed to be on the packet! I'd say give it a go, just pause the DVD as you go along if needed-then you can make your aim to get the amount of pauses down each time you try it or something. :-)

30 Day Shred DVD is great. It's basically three 20-25minute workouts each at a different level. You basically start on level 1 and move your way up to 3, most people do each level for 10 days at a time. It's a short workout that actually works!

I have the same tendancies, the things that work for me are drinking plenty of water and peppermint tea. The peppermint really settles my stomach down and the water just flushes the system. Hope that helps. :-)

I'm on the mini-pill and have had no problems. I haven't had a period for a good few years now, you still go through the hormonal cycle, so can still go through bloating/moodiness, but I don't notice any getting larger and larger, if anything-things are more stable. That's really helpful advice, I see so many people on here not reaching their calorie goal for the day and staying under it on purpose. Amazing stuff. :-) You should be really proud, I have stretch marks too, they fade over time-I use an oil to make them less itchy too. They're hardly noticable on you anyway!
