It's a personal choice. For me- morning. I know if I don't do it in the morning then I won't do it. There always seems to be a plethora of excuses by the time we get the boys to bed and I could exercise.

I only looked back a few days but it looks like you're generally significantly under your calories. You may not be eating enough to fuel your body properly so it's holding on to every ounce it can. Try eating closer to your goal for a couple of weeks & see it that kick starts it!

It's a little high in sodium but I love to stuff a bell pepper with brown rice & spicy sausage, bake it to get it hot but still leave some crisp to the bell pepper.

I'm 4+ months into a plateau. I've tried EVERYTHING. I got word on Friday that my referral to the nutritionist went through so I should hopefully be making an appointment this week. I've had to completely take my focus off losing weight. This has truly become about being healthy now. My personal goals now have to do with…

I do crushed cornflakes with shredded parmasan cheese (just a bit) and a packet of ranch dip mix to coat the chicken. It's a family favorite!

I love Zumba!! I was doing 1 1/2 hours 4 days a week but have had to cut back to 30 minutes because it hurts my knee. I still feel like an idiot dancing around about 1/2 the time but I really enjoy it!

I'd definitely take tomorrow off. When I was in college (I played soccer) we'd gone rafting and I got burned badly. The next day I passed out at practice from getting overheated/dehydration and the trainer said it was because of the sunburn and I wasn't cleared to train for 3 days afterwards.

I've given all my changes (see my sig for the list of them lol) 2 weeks before I declared it not working. Now I'm waiting for a referral to a nutritionist to see what's going on.

Caramel greek yogurt and an apple to dip it in. It tastes JUST like caramel and if I have a few extra calories or need a dose of chocolate I'll add 1 tablespoon of hershey's chocolate sauce to the caramel yogurt. A-MAZ-ING!

Your muscles swell as they are worked and retain water as they heal. If you have sore muscles that could be part of the problem.

short answer- especially with the relatively small amount you have to eat you should definitely be eating them. Long answer- do a search for exercise calories...the experts explain it better than I can!

Thanks guys :) It totally made my day! I've looked at the hundred pushups challenge a couple of times...I think I'm still intimidated lol

I've been stuck in a plateau for 4 months. I TOTALLY get the feeling of why even try. For me, I've had to take my focus off the scale. I still weigh daily but I've been stuck at 177-179 for 4 months. I've switched my focus truly to being healthier. I'm working on making healthier choices. I'm developing muscles!! (I'm…

I've only done the cardio max & I logged it at High impact aerobics. after I got my HRM it was pretty close, usually within 50ish calories.

oooh, also check around to see if there's a water Zumba class near you. One of the gyms here does a water zumba class and I wish I could afford a membership so I could go!

I don't have arthritis but I'm struggling with knee problems too. I think we finally have answers although there isn't much I can do but be careful with what I do. I'm just back after 2.5 weeks off thanks to my knee and am really having a hard time getting back into the groove with working out. I used to love going to the…

WOW!!! Congrats!!!

Because it's the only time during the day when I get to focus 100% on me. I'm a SAHM to 2 little boys so being able to focus on me is pretty rare. I also loving being able to see results. Not getting skinnier (4 months into a plateau I've been forced to take my focus of skinny) but getting stronger. I love being able to…

I'm 4 months into a plateau. I'm obviously doing something waaaay wrong but haven't figured it out yet. I was losing steadily at 1.25 lbs a week and then hit a brick wall. I've tried: increasing my calories by 2-300, decreasing my calories by 200, switching up my exercise (changing the cardio I was doing & adding more…

Welcome to MFP! It's an amazing resource! I'm a SAHM to 1 and 3 year old boys (although I'm hoping to sub part time when school starts)

I was working out pre-injury 5-6 days a week for 90 minute-2 hours. I just got the okay from the dr. to ease back into it after 2 weeks off so I'll start at 45ish minutes 3-4 days a week.

We spend $500-$550 usually per month for our family of four (plus our two dogs).

I like the Brother's Co. freeze dried fruit. It's all natural and about 40 calories per serving. I keep little pre-portioned bags of almonds and raisins in my purse. what about pre-measured popcorn? protein bars and fiber one bars are good choices but they can get expensive. Fruit is a good on the go snack too, or cut up…

If you're eating max 1500 calories and burning 700 a day then you're not eating enough. burning that much you should be eating at least 1900ish a day!

Good Luck!! I totally and completely understand the frustration of doing everything "right" and not losing. (2 lbs in 4 months!!) I go back to the dr for my knee on Monday & am going to ask about a referral to a nutritionist. I tried low-carb to bust my plateau but I really really really struggled with it and know it's not…

Looks good to me! Maybe throw in some more veggies though... We plan our menu on Saturdays for the week. I really struggle to find things that my hubby will eat (he's ridiculously picky!) the boys will eat and that's healthy for all of us. I've tried switching to whole wheat pasta & my husband acted like I'd fed him…
