Count me in as a do-over! In 2014, I lost 40 pounds using MFP and a Fitbit. This past year, I’ve gone off the rails thanks to a crazy work schedule, lack of sleep (thank you hot flashes) and lack of motivation and energy to run. Mentally, I’m back in. My work schedule has reverted to normal, allowing me time to work on…

I guess I'm glad I'm not the only one having this problem. For about a month now, syncing has been inconsistent at best and nonexistent at worst. I'm really annoyed that I have to unlink and relink my account in order to get my calorie burn added. Don't understand why this keeps happening every few months.

BOOM!! That was so awesome, we need a new word for AWESOME!! LOL!!

Yeah, I agree with everyone else...you look amazing! Your family is probably just surprised at your new look and they made hurtful remarks in an attempt to get you to come to your senses and go back to what they are comfortable with. They'll get used to the new, gorgeous you eventually. If they don't come around? *kitten*…

Yay Ernie!! You are such an amazing and inspiring friend!!:drinker:

I've been through many months-long plateaus since starting a year ago. I suggest you keep on with your weight training, however, I suggest that you lower your weight-loss goal to 1/2 pound per week and increase your calorie intake. I have historically had a problem with binging because of denying myself enough food while…

My advice? Don't bargain shop your new boobs. Get the best and most highly recommended surgeon you can afford. Make sure you do lots of research on your doctor before you commit to one. Good luck OP!

You look like a new person! Congratulations on your success!!!

Wow! I think yours is the most inspirational story of overcoming bad habits and obstacles I have ever heard. Thank you so much for sharing. I am literally blown away by your story and your transformation! You don't even remotely resemble the man you were when you started. Congratulations! Really. Congratulations and best…

Oh my gosh! You look amazing! You look so fit and healthy now...and YOUNGER!! Good for you for not letting your age get in the way of achieving your goals! You are an inspiration to me and thank you for sharing your story :)

Congratulations! You have made an amazing transformation! Such wise words there at the end too...thanks for sharing your story and wisdom with us!

Wow! It took a lot of strength and endurance to stick with your program and get this done everyday for 2 years. Congratulations on your transformation! I think the surgery results are amazing! Whether you need a revision later or not, it looks like it was a smart decision to go ahead and do it when you did. You are an…

Personally, I do it after because it makes me tired. I need all the energy I can gather to lift hard. Sometimes I don't even do cardio after I lift. Just depends on how I feel, but I never do it before. Good luck to you!

I wouldn't worry about what the movement comes from, you are moving and it counts. If you were sitting in a chair, your butt wouldn't be moving :) In the end, it probably won't amount to all that much anyway so don't sweat it!

Oh, and I forgot something else...once I started to walk (when I could place my foot flat on the floor again) I got a compression wrap (mine was neoprene and had velcro so I could tighten it) and wore it whenever I exercised for about a month until I was completely healed. It took about two months overall for it to heal…

Yep, that sounds like a tear. Take your time...that's the best advice. I wish I would have let mine heal properly the first time instead of having to learn the hard way. I found out how to rehab mine by googling "calf tear" and "calf strain." There were some good sites where I learned what to do and what to look for as I…

I don't know how badly you strained your calf, but it's important that you let it heal completely before you go back to running (if that's what you do.) Between April and June of last year, I tore my calf 3 times, each one progressively worse. I was rushing back to exercise each time until the last one, when It was nearly…

I'm working on this too. I am getting stronger by doing pushups at a 45* angle. I do them in the same position as I would if I were doing them on the floor, except that I use something to elevate my upper body (like a chair or table or kitchen counter.) I've been doing this for several weeks and can now do two "boy" push…

I'm in the same place. I've lost 32 pounds since last April, however I've been maintaining since mid November. I'm 5'8 and currently 166 pounds, having started at 198. I run between 15 and 25 miles a week on average and also work out with weights about three times per week. I feel like I need to tweak something to get…

I just broke in my new running shoes with an almost 4 mile run :)) I also rearranged my gym equipment in my garage to accommodate some new pieces I got for Christmas. I'm having a wonderful day...got in my exercise and eating goodies!! Cinnamon buns x2 today so far...heaven! Feeling fit and grateful to be alive and healthy…
-
Wow! You look amazing! You don't even look like the same person anymore...Congratulations!!
-
LOL!! This really cracked me up! Thanks for the laugh!

I'm not sure, but have you tried deleting the fitbit app and then re-downloading it? I was having an issue with my MFP app yesterday and that did the trick.

Oh! And how about a yoga DVD or two? Low impact (no jumping around) and good for you!
