  • OMG me too...if only I had continued on the countless times I have lost a load but not quite seen the difference I had hoped for.....13lbs is brilliant, be patient & keep it up...you are 13lbs healthier than you were because thise lbs of fat obviously were internal fat that could have been pressing on vital organs. C'mon…
  • Yes I get that but you just ad a nought or two..its the percentage I go on..... around 2% sodium in ours..yours appears to be from 2.9% up to 4 or 5%..way higher.
  • Butter in oatmeal?? Make it with half soya or almond milk & half water & forget the butter..it will taste just as good & save you a heap of calories.
  • Wow you guys have way more salt in your cheese than we do!!
  • How much sodium does US cottage cheese have. Just looked at mine from Tesco UK and it 2 grams per 100 which is nothing really if you only eat 100gms a day..which would be quite a large portion. I eat a lot of cottage cheese. I'm not going to worry about the sodium because not many of the other foods I eat have much. I…
  • If you are having plenty of veggies, especially leafy green ones & you are not eating lots of hidden sodium in processed foods it is quite likely that you are simply shedding excess water. Its unlikely that your proteins are too high if you are having some carbs from veggies & hopefully fruit and not adding protein powder…
  • As long as you log your exercise you will find you have a lot more than 1200 cals a day to eat. Excuse me....if you cook healthy meals your Kids will also benefit from eating them. Make the Macs & junk treats only.....after all if thats all they will eat they will also find it hard to stay in good shape. Low fat protein,…
  • I eat a lot of yoghurt along with fruit to appease my sweet tooth. I try to go for the low fat ones & only eat so many of the fruit ones, the rest of the time I have natural. Yoghurt is better than many desserts you could choose, but it does contain sugar..so beware of that!
  • It might help to plan your days meals in advance. Work out what you are going to eat at each meal & make sure you have the foods in the larder. You seem to have a sweet tooth so get some fruits that you enjoy & snack on them instead of candy..you will find them much more filling. Try & eat three meals a day with a couple…
  • Just had a look at your food diary..no breakfast..thats 300 cals at least you should add daily....and you need to plan meals around low fat protein such as chicken breast or fish plus lots of veggies or salads. Snack on a couple of pieces of fruit & you have a healthy diet. I couldn't live a day on all you ate today....I'd…
  • Well you can't do much about today..and if its just the one day no problem..but you need to get your eating right over the next few days, eating a few more calories at each meal and getting a couple of healthy snacks in.
  • As I go, unless I am planning something specific & want to know if i have to adjust calories to fit...or need to plan more exercise.
  • You miss breakfast most days..which means you don't get your metabolism going early.....and if you do eat breakfast you seem to miss a meal later on..to compensate? I think you might find better results if you eat small amounts more frequently..you obviously have the sort of metabolism that needs a litttle boost throughout…
  • Love your ticker!!! LOL!!!
  • Calorie counting but have adjusted the balance of protein to carbs ratio on here by increasing the protein a little as I don't lose if my carbs are too high.
  • Its always harder to lose weight when you don't have that much to lose. A quick look at your food diary makes me think its a bit up & down. One day you are great..another you are eating loads of carbs & processed foods. Fruit Veg and a good level of lean protein always works for me. You seem to eat loads of pancakes &…
  • Special K cereals & Cereal Bars...all that sugar and sodium too........................just plain oatmeal for me now and Fruit juices..used to drink cartons of pineapple juice...especially the one with coconut...OMG the calories!!!
  • Wow..with everything you have been through & beaten so far, getting your weight under control should be a breeeze. Good Luck. I'm another 100lb hopeful so have added you.
  • Congratulations!!!!! I believe that the general advice is that you should continue with the same ealthy eating you would have on a weight reduction diet but increase the calories to match your BMR...which will of course increase as your pregnancy advances. That way you will not lose weight, but neither will you be storing…
  • stevia is better than the cdreamer..it is plant based..but it still is sugar so use sparingly.
  • Yes, yes, yes, well said, thats me exactly..only its taken me so much longer than you to realize it, last year I finally did....and now I've found this site I am hoping that this year will be so much easier!!
  • Be happy with the weight loss the scales show and keep up the good work, whether its a true weight loss or not is really irrelevant...its the positive changes you have made that are the good thing to reflect on.and knowing that they are good being able to continue. Also don't be too strict on yourself, remeber you are…
  • I had a look at your food diary & on the whole it dosn't look bad at all. You could add more green veg and wholegrain foods instead of cereal bars. You have already identified your biggest sugar sin..the creamer, substitute skim milk & you will be better off..also try & avoid desserts like the Yoplait whips, much better…
  • Well done everybody, I hope that I'll be showing a loss on Monday to help out the softies next week. Well done biggest losers in awe of 4lbs lost WTG
  • I am very very sad for you my dear..to see you wrecking your whole future with the way you both have & are mistreating your precious body. You are only 19 for Gods sake and yet you say in your write up 'I've been fat all my life'. You are still a TEENAGER..your life has not yet begun..and even so you are setting yourself…
  • Mullerlight Yoghurts, especially the orange with Dark chocolate...only 100 cals and makes me think I'm eating a terry's chocolate Orange..yum yum
  • Monday morning. Used to be Friday but I used to cheat then over the weekend and reckon that set me off wrong for the week..so a Monday morning weigh in keeps my weekends in 'order'.!!
  • No No you won't FLUSH out the salt from the foods only dilute them...and the acids that digest them.....if only it was that easy...but you will flush out a lot of the vitamins and minerals because your body won't be able to digest them. Why change cheerios for cucumber??? Wholegrain cheerios are fine for breakfast…
  • Don't give up, looking at your food diary it looks to me like a DIET plan and not necessarily a healthy eating plan that you can maintain for the rest of your life. Try to include some complex carbs in the form of wholegrain bread, rice etc. Add some fruits as snacks. Vary your veggies a little to keep your interest up. Now…
  • Muesili is a swiss oat/dried fruit nut based cereal a bit like your granola
