There isn't a right and wrong here. You use intemittent fasting to help make your calorie deficit easier. I do IF every day, but if you are only doing it some days, sure, eating less calories on those days to take advantage of the smaller eating window is a fine idea. Personally, I recommend trying IF out for at least a…

Dude, all the time! It's something you'll gradually eliminate over time. At some point during your life you made food your escape. You'll have to find a healthier replacement. Start improving your life EVERYWHERE. [post edited by MFP mods]

I've been doing it for over 5 years now and consider it to be one of the biggest things that has helped me get fit and keep it off. It's not for everyone but I absolutely think you should give it a good 1-month trial (less than 2 weeks you'll deal with hunger and won't adapt to it.) [post edited by MFP mods]

It happens to me from time to time. It's getting better though. It's a relationship to food issue. You probably are like me and grew up using food as a way to numb yourself from stress. [post edited by MFP mods]

Happens to me too my man. I really think it's just going to be a gradual unlearning of the habit. Food is connected with stress for you and I so the best we can do is try to eliminate stress and let the connection slowly disipate. Sometimes I go a long time without a binge but it eventually comes back. Just keep going!…

My hunch is you aren't being as accurate as you need to be. When you say "I try and have around 1200 calories a day and around 1400 weekends" it raises a red flag. You don't "try" you track everything and have EQUAL TO OR LESS than those numbers, no "around". Be rigid for a few weeks, use a scale, then come back here if…

For the same reason you mentioned (not having an accurate way to calculate exercise calories) I simply say don't count them. Just track food. You'll only have to worry about food calories which (if you buy and cook your own groceries) will be way more under your control. [edited by MFP Mods]

Might as well also say: According to your tracker widget, you still want to lose another 15-25 pounds. Now I certainly don't know your true goals or reasoning, but in my opinion I would suggest you just go into maintenance mode now. If you lost 10+ pounds you might look like a skeleton. You are really at an ideal physical…

I like seeing before pictures and being able to predict: 'Yup, she's going to look smoking hot in the after picture!' Great work.

Neighbor who constantly farts and is right next to me. Also smacks lips when eating and drinking. Talks loudly on phone instead of going into a non-work area to talk. Generally an ogre-ish lug.

Nice! I posted a photo with my hip bones showing and it got removed. I think the moderators are biased to males... ;P

You look incredible. Great job!!

Whoa you got shredded! Good job.

Vegetarian burrito from Chipotle with guac. Damn they're good.

Success! You look great. Now take a deep breath, exhale....ahhh.

True, it may be helpful to some. To others, that sort of micromanaging with trying to fit food in every few hours doesn't work. No one "wants to debunk the idea", it is merely that one way is not BETTER than the other. The original poster said that people don't realize how important it is, but she should have said that it…

Unfortunately you just laid another myth on top of #1. The relationship between those who eat frequently being healthier than those who eat only 1 or 2 meals was a correlative study with no scientific basis. Real scientific studies show that your metabolism actually increases during extended breaks between meals (until you…

Couch to 5k is a good place to start. For shoes, I recommend to everyone that they look into the minimalist styles, in particular Vibram Fivefingers. I was never a runner but learning to run in these has made me fall in love with running to the point where I run at least 4 days out of the week. Their primary benefit is…

Yeah, you are right, water has to be the culprit here. But I should still never eat like that...a whole pizza AND 14 wings..for frig sakes!

I exercise for at least 30 minutes 5-7 days per week and am eating a vegan diet. I've been losing 15 pounds per month so far.

Thanks for the support. MFP has been a great resource, with much greater value than just calorie counting.

Thanks opus. You can remove yours now.
