  • My mom and I are going to start phase 1 of Atkins on Sunday. I am looking forward to it and seeing how my body responds. Years ago my mom got a book called "Eat Right for Your Blood Type" but I was young and just remember bits a pieces from it. After looking at the Induction phase it reminded me of that book. I looked at…
  • Lilac- the book or the show? I think I should have been more specific and asked if anyone has read or followed one of her books. I enjoyed her show. She has that no nonsense attitude that I like. She takes no excuses. I also like that in the show, she showed people what vitamins they were lacking and how to get those…

  • I was under but only by 14 calories!! I don't drink so I am sure that helped alot. I ate light on calories for lunch to be safe (since we went to my parents). We had hamburgers and I was even able to enjoy a brownie. We didn't have a lot of snacks either. We had a veggie platter and 1 bag of chips.
  • I took a look at your diary and you are under on your sodium. In fact your numbers look pretty good. Its says you went over in the protein but for some people thats not an issue and some even need that extra protein. I only glanced at the food because I was looking more closely at the numbers and they look great. You said…
  • Don't let one meal blow your entire week. No matter what happens you can exercise. Do some cardio before you go if you can so your metabolism is up. Drink lots of water so you don't overeat and you will feel fuller. Its ok to have a little of the BBQ but try to eat more of the veggies and fruits if you can. I had a big…
  • Awesome!! CAn't wait to do that. I am in 16's now and they are starting to feel loose but I am still too big for the 14's (darn thighs)!! Congrats and keep it up!!
  • A slice shouldn't hurt but if you want to stay clear run to the store on your way and grab something to go like a fruit bowl, dried fruit, veggies with some hummus and drink LOTS of water to keep you full!!
  • When measuring your thigh did you measure so many inches up from the knee so your in the same spot everytime? Don't give up just perhaps write it down and see what it says next week. I have large thighs too and seem to be losing in my back/chest area and arms but not so much in my thighs and waist yet. Keep with it

  • I started out with Premier Nutrition protein shake from Costco. Its just a ready made protein shake with 160 calories and 30 grams of protein. I thought I would try to make my own to save some money and got some EAS chocolate Whey protein and add a scoop with 2/3 cup of frozen cherries, fat free yoplait yogurt, a banana…
  • Can you ask the boot camp instructor? Maybe change the milk? Is it whole milk? I use EAS chocolate whey protein in my smoothie and I use yoplait fat free yogurt instead of milk along with cherries and a banana and some Spectrum Ground flax-seed. I have not gained any weight. Muscle weighs more then fat so be sure to do…

  • Thanks for the info mlb929. I did start out with the 10 and was incredibly sore the next day. I used it again after 3 days rest and no pain whatsoever. • I don't have a monitor yet but I am looking to get one. believe your heart rate monitor is going to be more accurate because it takes into account your heart rate. You will burn more calories the more effort it takes you to work. On here its just a broad general perhaps average?? I would be curious to see if you burn fewer…
