Echoing what everyone else is saying, ultimately it boils down to what feels right for you. 1,200 is the bare minimum amount of calories you should be consuming. When I was eating 1,200 calories, I was hovering around 145 pounds and couldn't for the life of me lose weight. I ended up upping my calories (I think to 1,600-…

Aww, thanks, love! Same to you! <3

Please excuse my crazy eyes! xD

I confess, I'm still waiting for a "Spank or Pass" thread to pop up because the rest of the "interact with the person above you" are (briefly hops into judgment pants) laaaaaaaaamme... (hops out of pants entirely) FREEDOM!

No, you need a reward if you succeed every week! Beating yourself up for what you perceive as "failing" will just make you feel like a failure. If you want to stay motivated, give yourself extra incentive to hit that goal weight! :)

I wanted to get to 125 by my birthday (December 2nd), but I'm a bit behind the ball on that one. If I can reach 130 by the end of the challenge, I'll be pretty happy! Oct 24: 138.0 lbs Oct 31: Nov 07: Nov 14: Nov 21: Nov 28: Dec 05: Dec 12: Dec 19:

@lorrpb I don't blame you- it can be pricey! And I don't think it would last very long here, either. I have all the fixings for sushi, including the fancy dishware. I don't think I could stop myself if I started... xD

This is our sweet warrior pup, Xena. She is 12 years old, diabetic, heartworm positive, and is blind. We were coming home from dinner one night back in March, and I saw her wandering the streets just down the road from our house. When we pulled into the driveway, I (in my boyfriend's words) "gave him those eyes" and we…

@newereveryday -- BBQ chicken sounds so amazing right now, haha. When it comes to eating it on the grill, or in tacos, or something else where the chicken "taste" is the most prominent, we generally use Miller Amish Chicken Breast (which is pretty expensive [imo] at ~$6/pound). We bought some GFS frozen chicken a while…

@lorrpb That's a good idea. I've never honestly even bought fresh fish, so I'd have to look into the best ways to freeze it, but definitely not a bad idea. @SueInAz I think I know which side dish you're talking about! Definitely tasty, yes. And I do need to branch out a bit more. Boyfriend's not the most adventorous when…

@cross2bear I hadn't actually thought of that. I'm not sure if there are any stores in the area that do this, but I might have to look into it. A big part of my anxiety lies in getting to the grocery store, especially if it's a place I'm unfamiliar with. (I got into a nasty accident 5 years ago and got a TBI, so driving…

Pinterest is definitely my best friend, but I'm always worried to venture into the recipes, because I feel like I'd cook us out of house and home in a single afternoon... xD I do like the idea of designating a certain protein to each day of the week. The protein + starch + veg thing helps out a lot too. I have really…

@1mumrevolution Holy wow, you are an inspiration, haha. I would love to talk more about your training regime and learn more about aerial sports in general. Do you mind if I add you? :)

@jasonsunlee I definitely need to work on my squat game. I have bad knees (my Mother had to have surgery because all the cartilage was gone) so I've struggled a lot with weighted squats. Perhaps I'll try working on my form with bodyweight before adding the bar. (Doesn't help I go to PF, so we have those damned smith…

Agreed, all across the board. Just from your initial post I can tell you're hiding it like some illicit drug habit. Don't deprive yourself of sweets-- everything in moderation. I find that especially when I bake something myself, I have the sense of accomplishment like, "Oh hey, I made this. Go me. That deserves a cookie!"…

Sorry if I missed this earlier on, but is anyone experimenting with IF for their cut? I finished bulking late February and unintentionally wound up eating at/around maintenance (i.e- I wasn't really logging). So I've gradually, over the past few weeks now, gotten myself down to 2,000 calories. Having been at 3,000 during…

Exactly. A guy I was seeing a few years back (when I first started to get into fitness) was anything but "fit". Since I was new to eating healthy and getting fit, his eating habits and lifestyle bothered me. Here I was, busting my *kitten* to be good to my body. Why wouldn't he want the same thing? Yes, I thought (to…

Yeah you're going to gain *some* fat no matter what. The slower you take it, the less you (theoretically) should gain. Personally, I did 3 months and only gained maybe 8 pounds. I had to fiddle with my intake a lot and everything, but I wound up at ~500 surplus at the end of it all. Overall I'm happy enough with the…

Basically, this... I know someone who is a few hundred pounds overweight, and I know that they have a lot of issues with depression, self-imagine, etc. I've never been there, so I can't attest personally, but this has always made me curious as well. I'm sure people can learn to love the skin their in, but with all the…

This. I'm currently bulking, and am eating anywhere between a 500 and 1,000 surplus, depending on my TDEE for the day. But there are days (especially during the first few of TOTM) where I am just ravenous. I allow myself the extra calories, but try to make sure they're coming from smart places. A bagel is going to keep me…

I actually started last night, and I knew this morning was going to be hell, and that I might not make it in. Like bexlaverty said, my first day or two are the absolute worse, and even though I genuinely do *want* to be in the gym right now, I can hardly walk to the bathroom without wanting to cry. I think it's okay to…

Unless you're going to borrow it from someone else, or download it (which I... totally didn't do... >.>) I really can't suggest it. Virtually anything BB is a ripoff (in my opinion), especially when you can find a wealth of FREE programs. I saw okay results on the program, but I put the weight back on as soon as it was…

I know when I tried out a lifting belt, it was pressing into me pretty badly. It just didn't fit right, and it was digging into my hips and ribs, and crushing my insides. I only managed to get through 5 sets of squats and 2 half-assed sets on deadlifts before feeling sick to my stomach and super dizzy. I wound up having to…

I haven't had the issue with losing weight, but I struggle with bipolar, depression, generalized anxiety, and PTSD, so I'm a right mess, haha. Shoot me a message and feel free to add me if you want to connect. Happy to share with information/advice/comfort I can...
