  • Unbelievable transformation. Now you can do anything you ever wanted. Your health is the most important thing and you look like you're successfully taking your health back. WAY TO GO.
  • Hey - I'm also 5'3 and weigh in at 117. Everyone's body is different, but I would like you to pose one question to yourself: how much does the number on the scale really mean? Does it represent who you are? If you weigh 117 today and then you weigh 110 by June, does that make you a better person? Aren't you the same person…
  • TGIF Peeps! Mollie I love all of your cute little graphics...your little scale, etc. You are doing so awesome. Keep it up. GoodNIght to all and to all a good night! :flowerforyou:
  • EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT! I know I shouldn't be using caps: the screaming and all isn't really socially acceptable. I'm sorry but screaming is in order...You are such an EXCELLENT example of how clean eating and motivation can change a life for the better. Your achievement is truly commendable. Keep up the…
  • Okay, so I have to admit that I'm lazy about keeping track of my minutes of exercise, but I can promise you that I've been on track. I'm one of the most routine oriented people you'll ever come in contact with. On average I like to burn about 400 exercise calories on a daily basis. I was worried that I'd fall off track…
  • I personally like the Pure Protein Bars, the chocolate chip or the peanut butter chocolate are the best. I had open heart surgery about a year ago and need extra protein. So I called the company and told them how much I loved their bars and asked them if they could send me some coupons. Guess what, they sent them..YAY! The…
  • Pasta will never ever be left behind. Remember Dream Fields Pasta is carb healthy. It tastes like normal pasta, but I think it only has 5 net carbs. GOOD STUFF!
  • HI Everyone- Today is the first day of being laid off, so I need to keep my spirits up. This is the perfect motivation. Count me in. My goal will be 300 minutes a week. Thanks for creating this group.:flowerforyou: WEEK 1 Mon: 45 minute elliptical / 30 minute abs = 75 minutes total Tue: Wed: Thur: Fri: Sat: Sun: Total 75 /…
  • I myself prefer Splenda for it's sweetness, but I use Truvia on my fresh fruit due to it's granular texture. The worst is Equal or Sweet n' Low. I'd rather eat or drink something without sweetener than using either of those.
  • Good luck with your picnic....and remember, it's ALL good. One cheat day won't kill you. My company had a luncheon today and I totally splurged, but it was definitely worth it.
  • You're doing great! Keep up the dedication and hard work. All of us know how hard this is, so pat yourself on the back. :flowerforyou:
  • Healthy choices are veggies, veggies and more veggies. I love beets with a dab of low-fat mayonnaise. Edamame are an excellent choice too. They steam up nicely and you can eat a whole bag for about 200 calories and 6 grams of fat or so....I actually have a hard time eating the whole darn bag. I also try and eat fiber…
  • All of these posts are great. I agree, try to eat clean. I struggle with this too. I never realized how many processed foods I eat. I am seeing a dietician now and she is an advocate for olive oil, and believe it or not, real butter. Just eat sensible amounts. Also I've included raw, unsalted almonds to my daily diet. I…
  • There's definitely science explaining this, but I don't know exactly how to put it. I will just say that your body does need fuel to work out, so you should do some more research before deciding what to do. Look up what your TDEE is.....then base how many exercise calories you should be eating back. I do believe that it…
  • Hey- I'm 5'3" and weigh in at about 117lbs. I've recently started seeing a dietician-nutritionist to help wrap my head around this whole healthy outlook on food thing. I'm trying to tone and maintain. I've had a history with anorexia, so it's a fine line for me to not get too obsessed with this MFP, but must admit, I…
  • Hey Seena511- Firstly, congrats on your weight loss. I was wondering how much exercise you normally do daily? 2300 calories seems like a lot, but it's obviously working for you...I'm still struggling with the concept that eating more (within my caloric allowance of course) is a good thing. I'm just trying to maintain, but…
  • I think I have nicely toned arms and my nose isn't half bad either.
  • I look forward to my coffee in the morning. I am probably the only person, who is a decaf drinker, at least on this post. I had open heart surgery in Jan 2012, so I stay away from caffeine; the palpitations are not enjoyable. I like skim milk, splenda and cinnamon in my decaf.
  • I myself, have an air popper and buy popcorn kernels in bulk. No need for oil, just pop in the microwave. I think you get about 3 cups popped for around 100 calories. I sometimes add a splash of water or butter spray, (but I've read that stuff isn't great for you, so I don't use it much anymore). Then if you like it…
  • The ultimate treat: A Tastycake single serve Angel food cake: (70 calories 0.5 gm fat) (Sold in the 8 Mega Pack) I've only found at Giant . 1.0 Tbsp of Jif Natural Creamy PButter: (95 calories, 8.0 gm fat) 1/2 cup fat free TurkeyHill Chocolate Frozen Yogurt: (90 calories) TOTAL DAMAGE: 255 calories, 8.5 gm of fat. This so…
  • The most important thing to acknowledge at this point, is how yucy you feel right now. This feeling will help remind you during the next time of temptation, because let's face it, there will be a next time. I'm constantly struggling with NOT binge eating at night. MFP makes me look in black and white at the proof. On the…
  • You can do it! Just stay positive. I think you are so strong for leaving the abusive relationship and very blessed to have finally found someone worthy of you. CONGRATS!
  • I'm sure you aren't too hollow looking. Don't get down on yourself; just remember how much hard work has gone into your new healthier self. Just stay positive. I've struggled with Anorexia off and on for years and have finally started a cleaner healthier relationship with food. MFP and my dietician have helped me realize…
  • I have the same exact problem. Whenever I lose even a pound it makes me look really drawn in the face. I've finally reached my ideal weight, but my family never hesitates to mention when I start looking a little gaunt. I wish I had some suggestions for you...the only thing I sometimes do, is give my cheeks a little pinch…
  • That's awesome that your most recent blood test came back improved. The blood doesn't lie. Keep up the hard work, glad you're seeing results.
  • Good point about not prerecording your workouts. I don't like it when I am congratulated before I finish them, but in a way it forces me to make sure I do what I say I'm going to do. Peace People. :)
  • Way to go on your 8i lbs lost. You are doing an awesome job! Keep up the good work.
