Beginning to look gaunt in face :-(

Anyone else have this problem, the first place I lose weight is in the face! Hate it when people comment on it, your looking gaunt :-( I started doing facial exercises as read you can plump the cheeks with some facial exercises, however, no difference yet!!

I have the same exact problem. Whenever I lose even a pound it makes me look really drawn in the face. I've finally reached my ideal weight, but my family never hesitates to mention when I start looking a little gaunt.

I wish I had some suggestions for you...the only thing I sometimes do, is give my cheeks a little pinch to make them a little rosie.

Good luck...oh and by the way, do you have much more to lose? If not then the gaunt face may not create too much of an issue.

I'm only about 3lbs from my goal, I find the more negative comments I get about my face weight loss result in me going mad & over eating, then feeling so guilty & hopeless... Vicious circle :-(

I'm sure you aren't too hollow looking. Don't get down on yourself; just remember how much hard work has gone into your new healthier self. Just stay positive. I've struggled with Anorexia off and on for years and have finally started a cleaner healthier relationship with food. MFP and my dietician have helped me realize that our bodies are little machines and if we want to run smoothly we need to feed ourselves good stuff. I had been depriving myself of needed calories from "good" fats for years...and now MFP keeps me on point in regards to how much fat I should be eating especially on days with my heavy workouts.

Has it taken you long to lose the weight? That's so great that you only have a few more lbs to reach your goal...YAY!

I must admit I'm a exercise freak so that doesn't help! My diet isn't great as I eat a lot of junk food, I've always been close to my ideal weight but couldn't control the food intake until I started doing mfp which has helped shed that last stubborn stone or so, it's amazing how logging food intake makes you more aware of what you consume in a day!!

People asked me if I was sick, or if I had cancer....How twisted is that...a round face was considered normal, but actually being "normal" (or closer to it) is considered sick?!

It's just because you look different. Your face is something people look at the most so they notice your weight loss there. They'll get used to your new look in time. I guess it's better than them examining your boobs or *kitten* and making a comment!
