If you don't count calories how do you know that you are eating 1200 calories? Use a food scale and really track your food. You may be eating more than you think.

I tend to only shop in a couple of different stores. I know their sizing.

My hubby isn't afraid to ask me to help moving furniture, wood or other heavy things. I can run up and down our stairs several times without getting tired. My son (26) is impressed when I brag about my lifting weights. Even if they are much lower than his. My husband can't keep his hands off me.

My hubby completely remodeled a room in our basement for my home gym.

I started with a regular bar (20 lbs) and worked my way up. No shame in starting with lower weights. At some point the 45lb bar will become your warm-up weight.

I'm friends with a couple of you already. I enjoy keeping in touch with my lifting ladies. I'm a mom to a 26 yr. old boy (in University still) a 25 yr. old daughter (Physio assistant) and step-mom to a 36 yr. old son. Step Grandma to a 5 yr. old boy with another due any day. Feel free to add me.

I could have written this as well. Lost 60 quickly and kept it off for about 8 months. Then gained back 30. I gained because I cut back on exercise and ate more. My fault. This time around I am counting calories, lifting weights and staying more active. It is taking longer but it is worth it.

At my age I expect to be a little sore all the time. Doesn't slow me down though.

I used the "You are your own gym" app when I was away on vacation. Couldn't do a single regular push-up when I started. Within 3 weeks I could at least do a few. My husband was pretty impressed.

Not sure where you live. But, Jockey in the U.S. has some nice fitting bras. Otherwise get someone to fit you properly.

I started with a standard bar. No shame in starting with weights lower than suggested. Won't take long before you work up to the suggested starting numbers.

The 2,820 calories you are speaking of is your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR); the number of calories you'd burn if you stayed in bed all day). You do not have to go crazy exercising to burn these calories.

Thank you

Nothing wrong in starting with lower weights. The weight builds up quickly.
