My son is a University rugby player. He tore his ACL Sept. 2012 and had surgery Dec. 2012. Through therapy he began playing again August of 2013. He came back stronger than ever.

Go shopping at Lululemon. I would think some of their sports bras could double as a bikini top.

If you are using IIFYM you don't eat back exercise calories. Also, try and hit the macros.

I write down all my workout info on the mirrors in my (HOME) gym. Easy to wipe off and make changes.

I had to start again after a long Christmas break. Also started back with low weights. I took this opportunity to really work on form.

I will be trying the following soon Day 1 Squats DL 5x 10 Day 2 Bench Press OHP 5 x 10 Day 3 DL Squats 5 x 10 Day 4 OHP Bench Press 5 x 10 This way I get to do each lift 2 x per week.

My husband helped me get all my weights, squat rack and bench at various garage sales. Then he finished a room in our basement for me to lift weights. He has always been supportive of my journey.

You can use 2" washers as fractionals as well. They are 1/4 lb each and much cheaper. You can find them at a hardware store. Just ask for 2" washers (they fit on the olympic bar).

Congrats to you !! I can totally relate to the "do squats" yeah right. My son (25) told me to suck it up and squat. This was after I watched him squatting over his body weight 3-4 months after having ACL surgery. Like you I started with and empty bar (20 lbs) and 6 months later I'm squatting 100 lbs. Oh and I'm 53. Keep up…

I hate barbell math. :angry: My weights are all in kg's which throws me off too.

How much do the weight collars weigh? or does that include them?

Look for good sales or shop at thrift stores. I always like to have a nice fitting pair of jeans.

I think the super short buzz cut would be good to try first. Keep the facial hair.

Are you doing high bar or low bar squats? I find low bar is much easier on the back. You could also try front bar.

Bodyweight exercise such as "You are your own gym". There is a phone app for it and it is really easy to follow. I use it when I'm travelling and can't get to a gym.

Once I started using a digital scale the weight started to come off.
